I thought I was buying a "universal fit" life jacket. It needs to be explained better, specifying what "universal size" means, as opposed to "oversize" size. I will sew the shoulder straps a little to make it a tighter fit--then it should be okay. Other than this, it's a very good-value jacket. Bought this for my mother who is 75 and a little plump and needed comfy, not binding life best for her kayaking. She fit comfortably, let her arms move freely, she loved the color combo too. Seems to be good quality. Only worn a few times. So far excellent buy.
