The intuitively-designed tool fires 5 cap nails per second when using proper PSI and holds 200 caps and 200 nails which makes for fewer reloads. PRO: This tool and concept is very good. Make life easier. Could do 9 nail cap in 5 seconds. Saving so much time, just imagine how much time saving when doing the whole roof! Bump trigger (continuously firing) and trigger-trigger (single shot). Default is bump trigger, could adjust to trigger-trigger with rotating a red knobs on the trigger. CONS: I did experience it not firing 3 time for unknown reason when bump trigger, each time it work after 5 minutes of messing around. There are nails, there's air pressure, and everything else is normal. Just abnormalities. Might need to return for replacement as stated above problem because it IS expensive! ... show more

when were required to shoot cap nails for our underlayment, the stinger is the best option. it functions and performs and saves time and strength by involving a fraction of the fasteners usually required. to buy the nail packs and get the gun is a no brainer. the guys can install underlayment in half the time. ... show more

If you are mechanically challenged like me, just know this is compressed air powered so you need a compressor and pipe, but after that very easy to use. Its a bit heavy so my hand got tired, but nothing crazy! Def recommend

I purchased this as a way to fasten my synthetic underlayment for my re-roofing project while complying with the mfr warranty, and I reallllly didn't want to do it by hand. I've read less-than-stellar reviews on the hand stapler option, so I spent the extra on this. I've used it a few times since, and sure, once in a while the caps get hung up and misses feeding one or two but on the whole, it's never jammed and has worked exactly as expected. And there's just something extra satisfying about using it. Not sure if it's just the joy of getting my money's worth, or what, but definitely worth the price tag for me. ... show more
