There were also positive comments about its practical functionality, with it being beneficial for various projects from remodeling to minor repairs. • Overall excellent tool.
I’ve had previous 15 gage angled finish nailers, pneumatic and Senco Fusion battery. This nailer lives up to the expectations I had for a trim nailer. It consistently drives nails and sets them repeatedly. The battery life meets my expectations but don’t expect to get a day of heavy use on a single charge. I have plenty of 20V packs to swap so it wasn’t a priority. The nailer cycles quickly and always seemed ready to fire. When setting down, the nailer can stand on the battery pack keeping your workspace more organized. Minor criticisms: The adjuster for setting nail head depth felt very hard to turn and the rotation to turn the adjuster felt opposite to me. The weight of the gun is heavier than previous nailers used but Dewalt has made it very balanced from an ergonomic perspective. Overall, recommended if you want to spend the extra to go “hoseless”. ... show more

  • good enough to ditch the cord for good!
This gun is exactly what I was hoping for. I use it for hanging trim, and so far it was worked flawlessly. The shooting speed is not as fast as a pneumatic gun, but plenty fast for me. Its also heavier than your pneumatic gun, but that didn't bother me. I guess it wouldn't be ideal for someone who only hangs trim all day, but for the rest of the 99% of users it is outstanding. I was using a 3 amp battery, and that was more than enough for hanging a good deal of trim. This gun is expensive, so I hope it stands the test of time! ... show more

  • excellent
Very good. Nothing to complain about. Belt clip is good, weight is a bit on the heavy side, but not overly so. depth adjustment is fine, loading is easy. Great product.

  • Up to their usual standard
I'm a DeWalt fan, especially of their 20v MAX brushless range., so I expected to be pleased with this nailer. And I am :-) Like most of their tools, it's thoughtfully designed and just works well. This will even fire 2.5 inch nails. If you use a huge battery on it, you might find it a little heavy. For that reason, I've used it with a couple of 2AH batteries, charging alternately, and that worked just fine. The LED lighting is very handy, and it's easy to judge the nail position. ... show more

  • Simple, fast action and durable
Out of the box this gun was easy to use. Fast action, no issues with off.brand batteries and shoots BOSCH 15 gauge DA style nailed with no issues.

  • Amazing!
I should have bought this nailer sooner. We are remodeling a 100 year old farmhouse and it shoots nails into the wood without any issues. The best thing is not having to deal with hoses. It saves more time than you would think. I will be buying the framing nailer based on my experience with the finish nailer. ... show more

  • So Far so good
After a year of use and more than 5000 nails shot, not once have I had a jam or misfire. Wind up doesn’t bother me and is negligible when compared to competitors. Coworker has the Milwaukee Fuel 15GA and the dewalt feels WAY more balanced despite being bulkier. Coworkers prefer the Dewalt because “the wind up sound makes me feel like I’m doing something” lol. Fits inside the Milwaukee 2 drawer Pack-Out as well. Currently using it with a 3AH battery and have never run out of charge on a job site. ... show more
