Just received my coat and tried it on, amazing 🤩. I’m usually a small but I got a medium so I could have a little extra room. My measurements are 36-forgot the waist-45. I am hippy and have a big butt and let me tell you the coat is very accommodating for these bountiful hips and booty! I even have extra space which makes me think I could’ve gotten a small. Seems it runs big but not in a bad way. Also- The coat is long. Hits about 4 inches from my ankle and I am 5’4. It has a big hood that fits all of my hair and the sleeves are long enough to cover the top of the hand nicely when you move around. So,let me close up this novel by saying: get the coat. You will love it!

I got this in the brownish color and because of the stitching and color I looked like a caterpillar. I got a good laugh but felt sooo ugly. It does feel nice, not heavy but very thick, good for really cold days. I’m 5’ 3” and it wasn’t too long on me but I needed to find a coat that I felt like a human in. 😆 probably a different color would have made all the difference but I think one that has a belt and different stitching lines would be what I want.

I love this coat a lot actually. It's super comfortable and I don't know why I had waited so long to get a long coat for Montana winters but this one really holds up to the cold. The only problem is it's clearly not put together well. I've only worn it one winter season and basically the whole coat has started falling apart. Now, I'm not doing anything sporty in this coat. Just commuting around in the cold. Every tear happens to be along a seam which just tells me it's put together poorly. Both pocket seams tore open and like every panel of the coat is starting to separate. If you happen to know how to sew you'll be fine because I've just been fixing the seams. It's not really something the consumer should have to do but hey, it is a warm coat.

I'm 5' tall and this coat is almost ankle length on me. What's great about it is that the zipper ends around my knee, and I was able to sew magnetic snaps around the hem and lining to add a really killer knee length configuration to it. I can let it out if I want the full-length insulation, or tack it up to look less ridiculous when conditions are better. In New England, you do what you've got to do. I have a lot of good things to say about this coat as-is, or I wouldn't have bothered modifying it. The material is heavier than a lot of puffers, and it doesn't feel delicate around the seams, buttons, or snaps. It has a soft sheen but isn't too shiny. The panel of smocking across the back of the waist adds a mildly flattering cinch to the practical comfort of the sleeping bag silhouette. The hardware is all good quality- I've gotten some really feeble zippers lately but this isn't one of them. The zipper has chunky plastic teeth with metal zips, and the snaps and drawstring toggles are all metal. The whole lining was thoughtfully constructed from different materials (fleece and something sateen) which are pleasantly soft and warm. The pockets are deep and strong, and the hood actually stays on. The neck pillow thing is a lot less weird than it looks, it's a great alternative to nasty faux fur ruffs and keeps the wind out of the neckline. The arm cuffs are very good at sealing the wrists without any scratchy knit ribbing. This is on par with more expensive coats I have seen and owned.

I love this coat as it gives great coverage when the temperatures are below 30. Not only is it long (I’m 5’8”) but it covers the neck. I also like that the hood detaches, there is a double front zipper which helps if you’re feeling a little warm, and even the middle back has two lower snaps you can easily undo if you like. I’ve also received a ton of compliments, which doesn’t happen as often when you’re in your 60’s! 😉 The reason I’m giving the coat four stars is because the seam in one of the pockets came undone. A small hole turned into my trying to get my car keys from the bottom of the coat back up through the small hole. I ended up triple hand sewing the loose seam. I’m updating because, after two months, the other pocket seam became partially undone. Fortunately, after much searching, I thought to check the bottom of the coat and there there were!
