These step in wire holding posts I would give a ten if I could! I'm in Florida, and Hurricane Debby just passed here, which blew two huge limbs across the wire fence, and they did not break, nor did the wire! One post simply laid over and the wire stretched, but once the limbs were cut off, the wire easily slipped back into the place and the posts were repositioned without one break!

They are handy for what I needed them for but they are somewhat flexible so I wasn't able to pull the fencing snug. The step-in posts were simple to "install" as long as the ground wasn't rock hard . Very easy and quick to get the temp pasture set up. My only disappointment was that I received an email saying it was going to be delayed by 5-6 days so I cancelled the help I had arranged and don't you know it, the package was delivered on the original date. No deal breaker but it was inconvenient.

Second box now, used many in garden different ways. Including adding to top of T-posts to run string around effectively raising fence height to keep deer out. Just slip metal base spike down into the upper clip holding the fence to the T-posts.

Good price, placement for wire is good, metal stake and step are good for placing in the ground. Disappointed in rigidity of the post. It can only be used in a straight run effectively. Any curves in the path result in the post bending.

Depends on what you want. I have the better version of this post the Obrien step in post and these are similar but the just don't compare. If you just need a post for online to hold a hot wire and your not putting any stress on them they will do fine. If you are pulling on them the will bend easy and I've had a few tabs break . They function as a electric fence post. Value for the money is good they are just not top of the line.
