great aftermarket cable check the mount type and make sure it work on what your installing it on. i got this one for an old snow blower. pull the cable apart and carefully think before u cut it to the length u need it i take the old cable and match it up u cut the outer or inner cable to short u have a problem so go a bit longer for safely margin and bend the ends of the inner cable using a couple pliers and take your time. works great on the snow blower i got and spray the cable town with wd or something once in a while to keep the water out so the cable doesn't freeze as easily or corrode ... show more

    • I can control my mower engine again
Old throttle casing would slip where it's clinched to the throttle lever. New throttle cable eliminated that issue, but I did have to shorten the carburetor end of the cable to get proper play choke to full bore. Cable end stuck out too far beyond housing as received. Simply used needle-nosed pliers to make a new 90 degree bend closer to cable housing. Does fine now! ... show more

Used as a replacement for a commercial cable. Not the same. I eventually paid for it and replaced with original equipment after failure.
