  • Best inline mic headset
I got this headset for gaming but its really easy to use in meetings on my computer also. I just pop in the audio jack and everything is up and running perfectly in a matter of moments. Love the boom. I feel like I am a pilot. The sound is a lot louder than some of the other headsets I have tried. The sound is crisper and can hear more in the background when gaming. I have wireless headsets but the sound was delayed due to the wireless signal and this headset with its ease of use is def my go to now. The headphones are really light especially with the strap; I don't really feel it weighing me down. Build quality is good. Its on the lighter side but does not feel cheap. There is not a real noise cancellation feature aside from the mic cover they provide but it works just as well as long as you aren't in a very noise polluted area. Def a diamond in the rough with the other inline mic headsets that are advertised so heavily. 10/10 purchase! ... show more

  • Most comfortable headphones available
These are the most comfortable and have the best audio quality of any headphones I've ever owned. I've owned other SteelSeries headphones in the past but this one is truly the most comfortable and they don't make my ears overheat after extended use. The ear pieces aren't made of plastic. They are breathable fabric which helps to keep your ears cool. This is a major advantage over other headphones. The top of the headphones have a hard band. Between the hard outer band and your head there it a fabric band that sits directly on your head. At first I didn't understand why it was made that way but after using it for many hours and days I realized why. It conforms to your head. You can't get anymore comfort than that. It has a 3.5mm port to connect to your audio source. This way when your cord wears out from use, you simply get a new cable. All my other headphones all had a hard wired audio cable. After frequent use, they start fraying and it will eventually start affecting the sound quality. This is not an issue with these headphones. ... show more

  • Sound enters my ears.
It's awesome. Bought it renewed but it was clearly brand new. Someone probably bought it then decided they wanted the one with the dac, or something. I don't know, but it didn't have a single fingerprint or anything. The cables and instructions were still sealed in their plastic, not taped closed. The sound is insane. I've ran it directly to my sound card using the 3.5mm jack and it's Crystal clear but with the USB I get lighting and the steelseries software that enables the whatever version 2 sound, and that's when you really get to hear how incredible the sound is. The bass is deep and punchy, and the highs almost hurt my ears they're so loud and crisp. Played division 2 a lot and some other games but while playing the Witcher these startled me when I door shut behind me because I thought someone walked into my house. These are great and and unless you're producing music I'd say get without the dac and save some money, or totally buy it work the dac if you have it in your budget. ... show more

  • Excellent sound quality. Plastic fails at point of connection after a year or two.
I've owned three Steel Series headsets now. 2 of which have been the Arctis Pro. One was one of the 'wireless' Steelseries variants but I got sick of having to plug them in because the battery would die constantly, I just went with always wired instead. This Arctis Pro I just purchased will be my 4th. The last two Arctis Pro have failed after about a year or two each time at the exact same place. I don't know if there is a technical term for it but the point the 'frame' connects to the actual ear muff has failed twice now for me. I don't know what specifically causes this, I can see there is a metal piece that 'holds' the frame to the ear muff, this is also a moving point as the ear muffs rotate/move. If I had to guess over time the metal is too strong against the plastic and the plastic fails, causing the whole ear muff to fall off the frame. I don't abuse the headphones and they get used for my PC gaming, which, granted, I do a lot of. They probably get used for 6-8 hours 3-4 times a week on average. I'm super picky about headsets because I cannot wear the 'leather' or 'pleather' most high end sets use because I start to sweat from it, almost excessively, within under a minute, so the cloth these have is mandatory. If these headphones didn't have such superior sound quality I would have stopped using them a long time ago, but everything else I've tried just sounds plain *bad* compared to the Steelseries. I've tried various low/mid and even a few 'high' end offerings from Logitech and Corsair in terms of gaming headsets with an integrated microphone. The sound quality just does not even remotely compare to these. I honestly want to move on at this point because I'm tired of buying headsets every year or two but overall these are great as long as the plastic doesn't decide to randomly break one day. ... show more

  • 1 year update
Bought a "renewed" Arctis pro after my first set broke. Came without box but have worked FLAWLESSLY for the last year of heavy usage.

  • Surprisingly good Refurbish
Ive had these for about 6 months now and have enjoyed them quite a bit. Im coming from a razer nari wireless headset and the sound quality is so much better. The cable is a bit of a nuisance but as is for every cabled headset so i knew what i was getting myself into. I like the control knob a lot but if you dont watch out for it its very easy to adjust the volume on accident and blow your ears out. Im able to hear my toddler through the headset which is not bad for me but may be for those who dont have responsibilities outside of headphone use. ... show more
