So strait out of the box for a complete beginner this is pretty good. It plays well for the price, the amp is super cheap but I wasn't expecting much there anyway. But it does get pretty loud and with a new pedal it'll do for now. Now after some time I have lowerd the action so the strings are closer to the fretboard, straightened the neck by adjusting the truss rod, set the intonation at the 12th fret and it sounds way better than it did in the beginning. The pickups are muddy but they work. All the electronics work and there's no bad buzzing or other noises while playing. The tuner it comes with works really well, it uses vibration so you can tune unplugged from the amp. The strings I would change after you learn a few things, they're not great and I had to press pretty hard with them. Overall this is a great beginner guitar, comes with everything you need to get started and it's pretty good quality. ... show more

I play classical guitar and I just wanted a throw around electric at a great price and this is definitely a great deal for a great price! The actual guitar is light weight! Great tone, easy to play! Of course since the price is so low don’t expect great quality with the case, and the amp and other stuff included, HOWEVER, it does include A LOT of stuff for a beginner! When I plugged it into my amp (not the one provided) it sounded so great! I’ve had it a month now and I love it! The head is wood so mine unfortunately chipped but it’s funny because now my guitar looks more edgy than if it hadn’t chipped. I would recommend for beginners or something affordable ... show more

I ordered this as a birthday gift to myself as it's been about 20 years (wow, that seems like a long time ago) since I bought a new guitar for myself. I haven't played as much in the last few years and wanted something I could play at night when the wife was asleep and not bother her. This fits the bill nicely. The amp is garbage, and the tone controls barely do anything on the guitar. Also there are some microphonics in one of the pickups. It still plays well and sounds decent. The amp really could be better, but for a $90 starter kit it's fantastic. If the amp had been a better built unit this would have easily been a 5 star review. The action is light, and after stressing the strings it's stayed in tune perfectly. Edit. I've owned this now for two years, I can say the strings that are included are garbage. But a good set of strings to replace the ones on it, and have it properly setup by a professional luthier. This unit was well worth what I paid for it. ... show more

I am very happy with the quality of the guitar and everything else I received in the box that came with the guitar. The case, the amp, the picks, the polishing cloth and the strap and everything else. I really like the stand I ordered for it too. It is real quality. I also am very happy with the four books I ordered from Amazon to help me be able to learn how to play. I am excited about learning how to play this guitar, I have never had a guitar before an dI have never played before. Great beginner guitar! Bought this set for my nephew and he loves it! Nice guitar! The neck was straight, it looks great too. The amp is just OK. Would recommend upgrading the amp. Also I would suggest getting some new strings right away also. Personally I like the GHS boomers.

Obviously you get what you pay for and I knew it would be lower quality in a package like this with the amp. The amp itself is probably the worst thing in the package I personally think it sounds too grainy and muffled but my boyfriend who I got it for loves it. The amp is also a lot smaller than I thought so I figured I should post a pictures of it with the guitar in case anyone else needs a picture to see what it really looks like. Another thing is one of the strings broke after like a week thankfully it came with extras but I expected to last a little longer before the strings started breaking off. Same thing for the guitar itself there’s like this vinyl wrap on it that started creating air bubbles and my boyfriend figured he was supposed to peel it off but I think it was supposed to be a kind of cover wrap to prevent scratching but regardless it came off when it started peeling. Overall it is still very nice looking and my boyfriend loved it but once again if you’re looking for quality maybe look somewhere else and do a little research before you buy. ... show more

We bought this for my 14 year old son. It comes with quite a few accessories and he really likes it. He has never played guitar and wanted to learn. I would definitely recommend this as a great starter guitar set. Especially for the price.

I may never actually get to the point of playing well, but I am having a lot of fun just strumming. The little electric tuning clip worked really well, made tuning the guitar super easy. I nearly pulled a bunch of stars because of shipping. I ordered two so I could gift one to my cousin. The first arrived hanging half open, and I'm amazed that the little items weren't lost. The second guitar was not to be seen. After raising an inquiry with the company they shipped another one, and emailed me with the new tracking label. The second guitar arrived yesterday. That one also had broken tape, but was not flopping open. I had 6 or so days of worry between order and full delivery., but shipping was fast, things did get here without being damaged, and the instrument is fun to use.
