The kids love these, but they are definitely a little bigger than the typical 50-90lbs range PFDs. My 9 year old is 60 lbs, and this is still a little big. The classic Stearns version adjusts much smaller. These are otherwise well made, and look cool!

    • Happy with product so far. Does ride up some on skinny chest kids.
My kids are about 54 and 60 pounds, so within the range and too big for the next size down. But they are very skinny. These worked well as far as keeping them afloat and heads out of the water. The kids were able to swim around in them in the ocean without worry of going under. I noticed that on the tightest cinch down, the jackets did move up closer to their chins than I believe it is designed for. The inside information states Chest Size: 25-29 inches (64-74 cm) if that is helpful. After the fact, I measured and my kids are 24 inch and 27 inch chests. Both had the jacket ride up. It dried nicely when hung outside for a while. One use so far, so no mildew or smell. Altogether happy with the purchase - hopefully my kids grow soon! ... show more

It's perfect for my 5 year old and he can still grow into it. He wears it all day while we are fishing on the boat and I haven't heard him complain about it being uncomfortable so that's a plus.
