The philosophy of clothing care isn’t something new. Two generations ago everybody knew how to take care of their clothes, but since then the tradition has been forgotten. We wanted to bring it back, but with a modern solution. That’s why our founders Frej, Petra and Martin started Steamery in 2014. The lifetime of a garment today is unnecessarily short. The norm is that you buy a sweater, wash it way too often and throw it out way too early. We believe in changing that behavior. The way we treat our clothes today is simply not possible in the long run. Breathing fresh air into textile care, Steamery is on a mission to modernize this centuries-old tradition. My wife and I came across one of these during a stay at a high-end resort in Sedona and she was immediately impressed by how well it worked. I tracked it down on Amazon and picked one up as a gift - and it delivered exactly what she remembered. The heat-up time is fast and the 1200W really shows in how quickly it removes wrinkles. The heated ironing plate is what sets this apart from cheaper steamers - you can tackle stubborn wrinkles that a basic steamer would struggle with. The included heat-resistant glove is a thoughtful touch and makes it much more comfortable to smooth garments while steaming. The beige color also looks great and feels like a quality appliance rather than a cheap gadget. The water tank is on the smaller side, so you may need to refill mid-session if you are doing multiple garments. That is really the only minor drawback. For dress shirts, blouses, or anything delicate where a traditional iron feels like overkill, this thing is hard to beat. My wife uses it constantly and loves it. Have had this steamer for a few months now. Overall it’s good. It heats up quickly, does a nice job of removing wrinkles, is easy to travel with and can be used as a steamer or an iron, which is handy. Only things I don’t like are how frequently it runs out of water and needs to be refilled, and that it’s super top heavy and is ALWAYS tipping over when I set it down. ... show more

While the design is very aesthetically pleasing, the steamer ceased to function after a mere single use. After looking around there seems to be an issue of reliability across various products with this brand. This is unfortunate because I quite enjoy the form of it and how easy it is to bring places. In some of the reference photos the unit is shown articulating in directions that, if performed in real life, cause the unit to leak water on clothes which I find to be deceptive. The heating speed was very fast! And was able to easily remove wrinkles. Given it lasted a single use, it has exceptionally bad value for money. ... show more
