Did not work at all

I have some build up on my iron that is just normal build up you would get over time. I had a cream iron cleaning product I bought years ago that worked great. Put a little on a cloth and wipe on a hot iron and the build up came right off. I don't recall the name of that product as I have not had to use anything in over a year. I found this product online and bought two so I would not have to worry about buying anything for a few years. I followed the very basic directions on the package and there is absolutely no change to my iron. It's still dirty. I put it directly on the iron and waited...using a hot, warm and cold iron just to see if one temp worked better. NOPE. I put it on a cloth and scrubbed the iron.....NOPE I tried my old iron which had a tiny bit of interfacing adhesive stuck to one side ......NOPE I give this product a 1 because it's the lowest I can go. Don't waste your money.

It Really Works!

My iron now looks like it did when I first purchased it. Although it took about six applications, every stain on the iron was removable. I am extremely pleased. For a small financial cost, the iron seems brand new, again; just follow the precise instructions.

No instructions came with it. Doesn't work to clean iron completely. I looked at the listing on Amazon to learn that the iron has to be turned on and then off. When it is lukewarm you apply this stick and then wipe off the iron bottom. I did this twice. The paper towel wiped off a bit of burnt clothing from the iron since I saw the paper towel had brown on it. However, it did not clean all of the brown stuff off the iron and it certainly did not look brand new like the listing claimed this product could do. I have applied it three times on a warm iron and am only managing to clean off a bit of the brown stain. I will keep applying it.

Disappointing performance

I felt this product was very wasteful as it was thin soaked into the rag and gave no friction to the bottom of the iron to scrub off the starch that was on the soul plate. I am always looking for better ways to clean my iron, but so far Faultless cream in tubes has worked the best for me. I will also us some plain table salt on a towel. Does a good job of getting anything off the bottom of your iron. Need us to say this is my stainless steel. I have not tried it on my ceramic iron as that seems to wipe off much easier. I would be curious to know if there is anything better that others are using?
