Why didn't I get this before?! It has been a Godsend. It's a simple device that goes over one of the ears of the stethoscope and slides down to the juncture of the ears, where you can then use a screwdriver or penknife to gently tighten the screw so that it stays in place without decreasing auscultation or damaging the scope. You then don't have to worry about it falling off if you drape your scope over your neck, or worse- touching patients and risking cross contamination. It's such a simple device, but it's well made, it feels fairly durable, and once it's on, you don't have to remove it. For isolation patients, it's a non-issue because you wouldn't bring your scope into those rooms, or if you did, you'd put a sleeve over it anyhow. Plus, you're probably leave a roll of tape in the room to prevent the risk of infecting other patients. I'm a bedside RN and I now use this daily, and I've recommended it to my co-workers as well. Very hard plastic. Fit littman classic 3 perfectly. Will hold any three inch tape. It has a plastic screw that holds it against the tubing to it does not slip around. Love the pink.

I was so sick of having tape stickiness on my stethoscope after hanging tape on the ear pieces, so when I saw this on my coworker's stethoscope, I had to have it!! It was super easy to install (I didn't have a screwdriver, so I just used a penny, and it worked perfectly.) It does not affect the sound at all, and no more sticky stethoscope! ... show more

This is amazing. I'm a vet tech and as long as I wear I stethoscope I can always find a roll of tape! Love the compactness, ease of not searching for tape. It is a bit bulky with a fresh roll of tape, but after wearing it I don't notice it.

I am always searching for tape when I am at work. A coworker had this on her stethoscope and I had to get one. This product is fantastic. I now have tape wherever I go. It does add some bulk to your stethoscope, but I usually do not carry it on my neck so it doesn't bother me at all.
