The distance you can remote start from is the same distance you can lock/unlock your vehicle. Increase your remote start distance with a Start-X range extender kit (sold separately).
- Optional remote range extender kit: Increase your remote start distance up to half a mile. Includes two separate remotes used to start your vehicle in place of your OEM key fob. Available in 1-way (up to 2000-feet) and 2-way (up to 3000-feet) systems.
- Plug and play installation: Included vehicle-specific T-harness eliminates wire cutting and splicing for fast, easy install. Installation video provides clear step-by-step instructions. Module is pre-flashed for your vehicles firmware to ensure seamless integration. Technical and customer support team available for additional help.

Truly was plug and play. If you can read at a 5th grade level and can follow instructions, simple installation. Disclaimer for my box module. It states in the booklet to press and hold the program button, then plug the 20 pin black connector and wait for a red light to flash before releasing the prog button. The red light never worked or flashed on my module. Regardless, I followed the steps, waiting for the seconds in between even without the red light flashing, and the program worked just the same. The green light did flash during the steps it was called out in. Works fine with the original FOB.

This is a awesome remote start.It is pretty easy to install,if you watch the video,it makes it really easy to understand and get installed relatively fast.As others have mentioned,it can be a little difficult to get the lower steering cover back on,but it is doable.Having remote start that works with my factory key was the main reason for getting this set,and I'm very happy I did,it works perfectly.

I bought this remote start kit for my wife’s car for Valentine’s Day because: A). The price B). The reviews C). Plug and play installation, and I was not disappointed on any point!! This was a simple installation on our 2010 Honda Accord LX-P. The directions were simple and very precise. Installation was a breeze IF you read the instructions provided and have some amount of mechanical ability. I’m no certified mechanic by any means but I do my own automotive maintenance on all my vehicles because I enjoy doing things on my own. Plus it’s a lot less expensive if you can do it yourself. Programming the module was a breeze if you just read the instructions and do them step by step. Worked the first time with no issues. The only drawback, which has absolutely nothing to do with Start-X, is that you need to make sure that you turn on the defroster and fan with heat BEFORE you shut the car off in the evenings so that you will have defrosted windows the next morning. But I see that as very minimal and well worth the extra “effort”……. Thanks Start-X for a great product that does what it says it does!

My choice was between this item and price, or a $350 on from 12v accessories website. I opted to choose this after read the reviews. Install was easy, programming was easy. Works exactly as it should. Nice to know an almost 16 year old car has remote start. Will use this company for future vehicles non equipped remote start.
