The Start-X remote starter kit is a solid product and makes starting my Silverado so much more convenient. Installation was mostly plug and play as advertised, and the instructions were clear enough to follow. It works perfectly once installed and starts the engine reliably every time. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that it took a little extra time to figure out some wiring details and the instructions could be slightly more detailed for first-timers. Overall, a great product that does exactly what it promises.

My truck is now a pos sitting in the driveway because it no longer turns over Solution to the problem: The 2a fuse blows so you need to use another one if you are in a pinch use the interior SWC BKLT 2a and pop it in the number 35 slot in the engine bay and the car symbol will pop up if it isn’t gone you need to attempt to start the engine then turn the key back one into the on position and let it sit for a little over 10mins then the light should go away turn the truck off then give it a go if it doesn’t work the first time do it three times and shes all good to go

2013 gmc sierra. Works great. 3 hits with the lock button on the remote starts right up, put the key in and you’re good to go. Pushing it 3 times again or pressing the brake pedal before turning the key to in will kill the engine. Set your climate control to what you want and it’s perfect. It runs for 15 minutes then will turn off. Install: I took off the dash underneath, which is easy. It’s simple to install. The hardest part is getting the wiring to fit under the steering wheel cover. Everything plugs in together and is easy to understand. You can still start your truck normally, not sure why that’s been brought up in other reviews.

It took less than 20 minutes to install and works like a remote starter. There is a noticeable delay, but given the price and ease of installation it isn't a deal breaker. Would buy again
