My first experience with Starfire Solarus tire brand. Excellent price point compared to the other more common brands. Nice deep thread, quiet, and a nice ride. Cannot rate the mileage yet but I expect with the 50K mile warranty that will not be a problem. Great buy.

Let me start by saying I’m a tire nerd, was a tire tech, and a Michelin/BFG fanboy. I bought these because they resemble the Michelin LTX M/S that is 2.5x the price for my size at Costco. Do I expect these to be exactly as good as the Michelins, or last 70k+ miles, no, but they are pretty close. I’m about 500 miles in on these, they are quiet, handle regular driving conditions in rain well and feel as stout as any other HT style tire. Will be able to test the snow performance soon but I am confident they will hold their own with the amount of siping and if I remember correctly they have a silica compound that helps the cold performance as well. I’d recommend them. If they screw met over down the road I’ll update ... show more
