Description

The Mud Grappler tires by Nitto for light trucks provide superior traction over dirt, rocks, and mud. Their tread design for off-road applications features 3 -ply polyester sidewall construction and massive side-lugs that prevent sidewall punctures. The spacing between lugs enhances steering response and traction on soft surfaces. The aggressive shoulder lugs add biting edges which help conquer rocky terrains and add depth for better puncture resistance.

  • Great riding and sounding tire
Best mud tire on the market hands down!! I like a roar to a tire but do not like to bounce or beat me or my truck to death. Have had 3 sets and never once had an issue balancing them. Last set I got 52,000 miles out of them.

  • A great tire , made from chewing gum rubber
Well made, yet made to fail. It's a strange balance between a quality design & construction. Very thick side walls, & they balanced well for a huge knobby tire. The tread design has worked great in all off road challenges, including very icy & snow covered highways. At low air pressures, these work great in the ice and snow. PROBLEM... in short, ( super soft compound ).. With a very high weight rating I purchased a new set of 4 before my big move of my home & shop. A full loaded superduty turbo diesel, with aprox 12,000 pounds of trailer full of machines I basically killed these tires . With aprox 800 ft lbs of torque, & a granny low 1st gear (6 speed manual) the tires took the load great, but not the torque. 1st gear starts at full power were to much and actually pulled huge chunks of "soft" rubber from the center of the lugs / knobbys. Not chunks from leading edges such as spinning of road does. The tire shop informed me that it was for sure torque related. So much rubber was pulled out that the balance was affected & felt once I rotated back tires to front. I'm very disappointed in the companies decision to use such a cheap, soft rubber compound. A MUD TIRE DOES NOT BENEFIT FROM SOFT RUBBER AS A ROCK TIRE DOES, but the company does since it wears out soooooo fast and tears itself apart under weight and torque. But NO MORE MONEY FROM ME, or anyone reading this. (I hope) .... A great tire , made from chewing gum rubber. AND YES THERE LOUD! LOUD AS A LOW FLYING AIRPLANE...... ... show more
