I love Pikes Place medium roast with my k- cups, I also like whole bean to grind for brewing and maybe this bag was just old but it had no flavor and no smell, rather disappointing.

I love this roast from Starbucks - but be warned that you might receive an old bag of beans. I received mine today (November 25, 2022) with a best by date of August 11, 2022. So definitely NOT fresh.

    • I’ve seen them for sale cheaper locally but I still buy them here
I’ve not had an issue with these beans except: Price varies locally and availability goes with that. I buy a lot of beans. So I order most here. My grinder has a hopper that holds about three cups of beans. I do not keep it full because the hopper is not air tight and these beans will go off. The beans or oil on them, turns and the taste goes bad. Grind or hopper less amounts at a time and clean the grinder between refills. Keep the bag sealed. ... show more

    • Always scorched beans in the bag
I used to enjoy Starbucks coffee. I loved the Caffe Verona. Yet as I ground it, I began to notice scorched batches. Not every grind but some. Due to this I tried lighter roasts such as Pikes and House. Even yet I find scorched pockets within these lighter roast bags. For everything Starbucks claims to be, burned coffee doesn't bode well.
