Smooth, sweet and pleasant, this is one of Starbucks perennial favourite coffees. In the United States, it’s become especially popular as a romantic gift for Valentine’s Day. First we create a full-bodied blend of Latin American and Indonesian coffees. Then we add 20% of our Italian Roast coffee to give Caffè Verona its added depth and sweetness. The result is heavenly.

First of the biggest feature after price was shipping time, and boy were they fast. I placed my order and in three days it was at my door with just the free Amazon shipping. The coffee itself is a full bodied, robust coffee perfect for drip, espresso, and my french press. I prefer the whole bean to control the grind but they do have the option of pre-ground, which is best for just drip. It may be too dark for some people but those of us who work graveyard shift know the best coffee is when you have to chew it. Finally the price. You get three bags of the standard sized Starbucks, which compared to my local grocer and the local Starbucks works out to be close to a buy two, get the third bag free. ... show more

When I and Verona, it tasted different than before. I guess Starbucks changed the recipe? It's okay - I think I'll go with breakfast blend next time. The value though is great - 3 bags! And you can return each bag for a tall coffee. So really you are purchasing 3 premium whole bean coffee, and 3 tall coffees at starbucks. How can you go wrong? And your still getting it cheaper than at Target, Walmart, or Starbucks itself. ... show more

    • It Brewed All Right, But it Was Ground Not Whole Bean
I buy coffee to use you my Toddy cold brewing system. I am always looking to try new varieties and that is how I arrived at the purchase. I unpacked the Amazon package, and while it escaped my attention then, when I went to review the coffee it turned out to be ground rather than whole bean. I was disappointed, and while the coffee it produced was not bad, know going in that you may be getting ground coffee. AMAZON ORDER: Ordered the 3 pack Verona after reading + reviews AND bec. I wanted to start ordering as many non-perishible items as possible on-line. I have no gripes w/ the Verona (it's nothin' special) BUT I was disappointed in ordering THREE bags in Jan. & they arrive w/ a "good by" date of April. That's waayyy tooo close. Just doesn't sound fresh enough to me. I felt like they took advantage of an on-line orderer to send the dregs to. Oh well, live & learn. ... show more

    • Great coffee but way cheaper if you buy from your local starbucks
5 stars for the coffee (I like the fact that it's much less acidic on your stomach than French & Italian Roast) + its slight mocha taste minus 1 star for the fact that it would be ~$40 for 3-16 oz bags from your local Starbucks.

I served Starbucks Verona coffee to houseguests in June. They commented that the coffee was unusually good and asked what it was. This family grinds coffee beans daily for the freshest brew possible, and they are very discerning. I then sent 3 backs of Verona to the family as a gift. The product arrived a day early and I am assured it is just as fresh and good as if they had purchased it at a Starbucks store. ... show more

    • My favorite coffee
Cafe Verona is strong and complex with slightly sweet notes. I've never had a bitter cup of Cafe Verona, and it is my favorite Starbucks coffee. This is a great coffee to get you going in the morning. To bring out the best flavor I prefer brewing it using a French Press. Decaf Cafe Verona is great for the evening and makes a great base for Irish Coffee. ... show more
