Perfect fit for the table and they spark a conversation. I bought these for my dad along with a gourmet salt and pepper set. He loved them. They do require 4 AA batteries but they seem to last a while. As for quality I don't see any blemishes in the molds and they function perfectly. Easy to use and you can do it with one hand. Have had these since Christmas and the batteries are still going strong. Have refilled pepper once and salt is about due for the first refill. Wife is a Star Wars / lord of the rings nerd so she absolutely loved these !!! They get used daily. Well worth the money.

My husband loves these. bought as a Christmas present. The battery life is great been using 3 months almost every day and still going. Easy to use and set up. Super sturdy. Great size and grinding ability. The plastic material is good. Have knocked these over a few times and they are just fine.
