Description

A galaxy-spanning adventure awaits in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a new 3rd person action-adventure title from Respawn Entertainment. This narratively- driven single player game puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. On a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order, you must pick up the pieces of your shattered past to complete your training, develop new powerful Force abilities, and master the art of the iconic lightsaber - all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors. While mastering your abilities, players will engage in cinematically-charged lightsaber and Force combat designed to deliver the kind of intense Star Wars lightsaber battles as seen in the films. Players will need to approach enemies strategically, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilizing your Jedi training to overcome your opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in your path. Star Wars fans will recognize iconic locations, weapons, gear, and enemies while also meeting a roster of fresh characters, locations, creatures, droids and adversaries new to Star Wars. As part of this authentic Star Wars story, fans will delve into a galaxy recently seized by the Empire. As a Jedi hero-turned- fugitive, players will need to fight for survival while exploring the mysteries of a long-extinct civilization all in an effort to rebuild the remnants of the Jedi Order as the Empire seeks to erase the Jedi completely.

  • The force is with this one... (mostly)
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
Very good Star Wars game. I'm somewhat shocked EA can still bring it like this. The only loot boxes in this thing are actual in game loot boxes. Story is good. Characters are good. Combat is good. Exploration is great. Graphics great. This is kind of the 2019 version of Dark Forces. There are a few frustrating elements in regards to uneven difficulty and some jumping puzzles approaching Jet Grind Radio levels of craziness. There are a few frustrating speed bumps later in the game. A lot of maps are reused by giving the player new "abilities" to access new areas. This involves a lot of backtracking to places you've already been in order to find every little nook and cranny for loot. It smacks a little of stretching out what may be been a shorter game with some padding required by the backtracking. The game also has a disappointing ability to give you very little direction on where to go next. For example, on several of the planets when you finish the main mission it requires you to go back to your ship. The requires a lot of backtracking and the in game map is not that helpful. You can wander around places you've already cleared (now with respawned enemies) for hours trying to either find your ship or the trigger for the next story push. I eventually decided that a star needed to be deducted because of this sloppy design. A few of the puzzles are uneven. Many of them are very simple while a couple are difficult. Mainly because the in game physics are not great and the player's control while force pushing and force pulling things is also a bit unwieldy. I hate cheating but a couple of times Youtube was required just to figure out either too obtuse or too difficult to finely manipulate puzzles. Despite these issues this is a wonderful game. When it's on, it's really really fun. Expect to hit the occasional bump which will drag you out of the experience. But walking away and revisiting the game after a break will usually yield excellent fun again. Recommended. ... show more

  • REVISED SINCE PATCH --- PC game play is good - fighting mechanics are fixed by patch
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
1st - my preorder e-mail never appeared, so that is -1. 2nd - I have played every Jedi Knight title and this the game mechanics in this release are the worst of the bunch. Keyboard/Mouse gameplay could not have been tested, especially the combat mechanics when fighting groups or powerful enemies. 3rd - Poor quality control : Clipping is rampant in this game... My water bottle sticks through my poncho when drinking it. My light saber clips through items without damaging them, I've fallen through the floor/walked through a wall into oblivion, teeth look like bad dentures clipping with the lips and mouth, it goes on and on... The graphics are OK. I play on Ultra settings for everything... but it looks like a console port to PC, instead of a PC port to Console. 4th - Story line is decent but lazy... I have to replay levels to unlock items in them because my guy is a poor jumper early on. To me this is lazy... right new content and material. I want to explore a new planet to use my force jump, not revisit every planet repeatedly when I unlock a new force ability. 5th - Combat with keyboard and mouse is unbearably bad until the recent patch. That resolved nearly every complaint I had on controls during combat using Keyboard and Mouse. Controller helps considerably, but many PC gamers (me included) prefer Keyboard and Mouse controls. All in all if you are a big Star Wars Fan the story is good and with the recent patch the gameplay is much improved. For those stating the graphics are amazing... go play Battlefield 1 from 2016. While not UGLY, this title me wishing they had spent more time on fit and finish. ... show more

  • Pretty good Star Wars game
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
The game play was fine. It's less combat / technical than Star Wars The Force Unleashed and has more of a Prince of Persia adventure element to it than The Force Unleashed. The story of the game was very good. BUT, don't expect to understand or enjoy the story if you never watched 2005's Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. In my mind, that's a must watch before playing this game if you care about story at all. Additionally, I recommend being familiar with some of the non-film Star Wars content, such as TV series The Clone Wars, TV series Rebels, or the Darth Vader comics. It will add to your enjoyment of the game's story. I don't want to say anything more specific than that to avoid spoilers. ... show more

  • Really solid game.
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
The story/plot is a little lackluster but the gameplay and character development makes up for it. I enjoyed the game quite a bit. I took away a star because they artificially stop you from exploring places at certain times for no reason whatsoever aside from they want you to return there later. This takes a good chunk of fun out of the game when you're wandering around places and you have to walk all the way back around because you step in the wrong place and suddenly you're sliding to the next zone. ... show more

  • Pre-order situation was resolved, but took a while
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
The product itself is good, but it's looking like the pre-order bonus keys did not go out like they should have. Took a while to get this resolved with Amazon customer service, but they came through in the end. If you didn't get a key, but you preordered, keep calling them until they send you one. You're fine getting the game now since you can't get the bonuses anymore, and you should if you like Dark Souls-type games. No micro-transactions or gambling mechanics in this one. Best Star Wars game in over 15 years. I hope EA makes more stuff like this. ... show more

  • Great story line and fun game play
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I'm a casual video gamer, but a dedicated Star Wars fan. Given the current state of the AAA video game industry, I wanted to give major props to EA for putting out a solid, single-player, story-driven game. The game-play was engaging, ran pretty smoothly on my PC, and the story pulled me in. I would definitely recommend this game to any Star Wars enthusiast, or someone looking for a good story. I really enjoyed the finesse needed to be successful in the various fights throughout the game. This is not a button-masher a la The Force Unleashed, and really took some time to master fighting with the lightsaber. Great job EA, and hope to see more quality content like this in the future. ... show more
