  • Unreadable!!!
I was absolutely waiting for this book to be released! Unfortunately, and as others have already stated, it is unreadable. I hope the attached photo will give you an idea of what it looks like. Very disappointing! It's being returned for credit...

  • Big disappointment
This book is one great disappointment. Paul has been marketing this book via his YouTube vids for a better part of last year so I bought it as soon as it came out. It’s big on rants and light on practical advice whether it’s components matching or system set up. The speaker set up section is equally disappointing. All you get is very general comments and a sales pitch for his audiophiles guide CD. You can get better advise for free on the net. This is a clear case of overpromise and underdeliver. Would not recommend. ... show more

  • Love Paul's Videos, but this is an Awful Book
This book is so disappointing. Paul mentioned it in many of his PS Audio videos, but the book contains information that can easily be found elsewhere online regarding speaker and listener positioning. It also is suppose to be an "audiophile's guide", but there are chapters explaining what stereo is, with general obvious information about audio systems. Why would a book for "audiophiles" not contain detailed technical insights rather than basic generalities that can be easily found elsewhere online for free. Just watch the Dynaudio video on speaker positioning and you'll learn more than this book at $0 cost. The book is being returned. Can I rate it zero stars? ... show more

  • Beginner's Guide - too many plugs for PS Audio
I'm a big fan of PS Audio and I really enjoyed Paul's other book "99% True." But this book was a real let down. You're better off watching Paul on YouTube than reading this book. I'm disappointed that the test CD/download costs extra and isn't available at this time.

  • Great for the Beginner
I am a "wanna be" audiophile. I have spent a year and a half buying equipment and gleaning audio nuggets from the internet. I simply could not hear the quality sound that reviewers described for the equipment I bought. I have a pretty basic system. After a few hours with this book and downloaded test music, I finally got my sound stage. I spent four hours listening to music that day and three hours the next. This was achieved with just the basic set up chapters. I see a lot of negative reviews. The fault might be in the title. If an audiophile knows how to set up a room and equipment, then they will be disappointed with the content. If you are a beginner trying to find that next level of sound, this book is indispensable. ... show more

  • Unreadable
The format of this book, cuts the page off, making it unreadable and worthless.

  • Print is completely readable.
Ordered my copy January 14. Recieved in 8 days , to New Zealand. Let me assure readers the printing was perfect and easily read. Printing issues alluded to in other reviews were not the case with my copy. This guide is perfect for beginners and those who have a good grasp of audiophonica. Arm chair "experts" may be disappointed . ... show more

  • STEREO: MUSICALLY: STILL VERY STRONG AFTER ALL THESE EARS! (without the "Y")
Interesting book by Paul, who has transformed from his California humble beginnings, and now residing in Colorado, but does not give much due credit in this book to the real East Coast industry pioneers who made this Electronics Audio and Stereo industry grow and accessible to the masses: Fisher, Marantz, Bose, Harman, AR, etc. - Paul is now a comfortable audio guru in Colorado with his PS Audio company, but in the "high end financial spectrum" of the industry, not accessible to many in order to convert them to the best stereo world of sound. Clearly, the consumer electronics industry has changed in the last 70 years, as well as the musical listening habits. This book can help educate the new listeners and help them expand their musical home environment, as Paul has taken the time and effort to provide a well thought out book, as well as his constant educational chats in social media. In summary my friends, it is worthwhile reading! ... show more
