The Star Micronics SM-T300i is a revolutionary ruggedized portable Bluetooth printer that is compatible with all operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows). It's also Apple MFi certified for compatibility with Apple iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The SM-T300i has easy "Drop-In & Print" paper loading, a reliable and quick print speed of 75mm per second, and an intuitive LCD display. Dust protected and splash-proof resistant (IP54 Certified), the SM-T300i is rugged enough for outside field workers requiring handhelds to seamlessly print from a mobile device to a durable portable printer. The SM-T300i also allows for restaurant servers and clerks working in demanding retail and hospitality environments to print standard three inch format receipts wherever they need to. Its rugged and splash proof design combined with standard three inch receipt printing and a long battery life make the SM-T300i a welcome option. In addition to its ability to pair with iOS, Android, and other popular mobile platforms, the SM-T300i can print receipts or data from a web browser-based application running on a mobile device wirelessly by configuring Star's WebPRNT Browser App. Once configured, simply pair your mobile device to the SM-SM-T300i and print from WebPRNT browser.

We purchased this to use at craft shows as part of a wireless mobile iPad/iPhone/SQUARE sales management system. We use the iPhone as a hotspot, iPad for ringing up purchases via SQUARE (using a SQUARE Bluetooth card reader) and the Star Micronics SM-T300i connected via Bluetooth to the iPad for printing of receipts. For us a normal day is around 8 to 10 hours of use, with around 70 to 80 sales receipts printed out - which one roll of paper easily handles. The battery shows three bars when fully charged. A the end of an 8 hour day it normally shows two bars. We like the fact that there is no ink to purchase, the paper is cheap and that you can manage what is printed out on the receipt so as to maximize paper use. On a multi-day show we recharge the printer each night and start again the next day with full power. We have used the printer indoors and outdoors with no problems. Worst case so far has been a three day show in 90+ degree heat with widespread dust in the air and the printer worked fine for the entire show. Beware, there is no warning when the paper roll gets low. NOTE: For power backup we use a Jackery 250 Portable Power Station. ... show more

    • Mind boggling ripoff
For $400 you can get a printer that does literally everything. But here I'm stuck with a glorified receipt printer just because Square does not hook up with anything else. Just ditch Square and their cronies.
