I have a very old 9x14 tent that has seen a lot of use on Cub Scout and Boy Scout trips. After an unfortunate winter camp where the fly and walls ceased to be water resistant, I purchased this product. I set up the tent in the yard, poured the solution into a hand held pump sprayer and applied. It went on easy and and was clear where the solution had soaked into the fabric and where i had missed and could reapply. The gallon was enough for me to fully apply to the whole tent and twice on the rain fly and door. I was pretty heavy handed with it, but I wanted to ensure that I stayed dry. It does have quite a smell, so be sure to use a good mask and eye protection. You don't want to breathe it in or get any on you. Gloves are also recommended. Leave it to air dry and air out as long as you can get away with. I left mine out for 48 hours and could smell the chemicals traces when I used the tent a month later. I did a water test on the tent after it was back up and it repelled the water quite nicely! And the little bit of rain we had on the most recent camping trip shed right off. The chemicals did burn the lawn in the area that I had the tent staked, but it quickly grew, was cut, and turned green so you cannot even see it after a month. If you can use a large tarp under what you're applying it to, or apply over concrete, I would probably advise that. Easy to use, does what it claims. I'm definitely going to purchase this again for some other aging tents, tarps, and covers. ... show more

Sprayed it on with a pump sprayer. Covered entire old boat canvas cover. Had enough to put second coat on. Rained a few days later and rain beaded off really nice. Revived the old cover very nicely. Am going to apply again at the end of season just to keep the old cover in good shape. Cover beforehand got soaked n leached through. Now the cover feels silky smooth and water (even pooled in the very back) doesn't leach through. Very happy I invested in this. ... show more

I put this on a thin gazebo cover with a garden sprayer yesterday. Today it rained and not 1 drop of water came through. Definitely a great purchase Only reason I gave it a 4 is because the liquid spilled out in the shipping box that had other items in it

Awning leaked throughout due to all waterproofing completely deteriorated with time. Really soaked it good and it worked perfectly on the main sheet. A few areas where awning connects to coach still dripped. However this product is for waterproofing not filling larger holes. So all in all I give it an A rating. ... show more

We bought a new boat this year, it's older, and the Bimini top seems to be original. On the first reign of the season the top leaked like a faucet! So I ordered this online to give it a try before we investigated replacing the top and it worked amazingly well! The canvas guy suggested spraying the underside thoroughly in just a little bit on the top. We did this and on the next rain we were completely dry. The raindrops beat it up on top and rolled off and where it puddled a little bit not a drop came through. I'm extremely pleased with this product. ... show more

I cleaned my boat cover a couple of days ago and checked the weather for today at 6am. Forecast was wrong...go figure. So I applied it at 7am using a cheap spray bottle. Took about a half hour to finish. Looked outside and noticed the dark clouds. I checked my AccuWeather app and it called for rain , which it did. Checked the cover and the water was beading up!
