It's still the best one I've found. The key is not smooth, it takes some wiggling and working to get the key in. It would be nice if it had a lanyard like the factory cap or even the ability to add one. Other than that I still feel better being able to lock it up. Would still buy.

Understand, I am not using this device to deter fuel theft or anything like that. I am simply keeping my kids from filling my fuel tank with rocks! I have a 3/4 ton diesel truck and it has a nice, wide fuel mouth. Downside.... my kids love the idea of throwing stuff in there. So for my situation, this cap is safe, effective and affordable. Perfect replacement for my Mazda BT50 fuel cap. Once it’s locked, cap keeps spinning without opening. Now I’m confident that no one can can cause damage to my engine by easily removing cap to put contaminants such as water or other liquids, dirt, etc,and thieves cannot open tank to siphon fuel. Fit my 04 Dmax no problems. Had some issues with people messing with cars at work. Wanted to make sure they stayed out or they would have to break it. Anyway I would know if they were messing with it or left it alone. Unlocking it with the key on a key ring isn't so easy. Unlocking it with the key by itself works fine. It fits fine and sealed like my OEM cap. Its green and says diesel, that way other people that may drive it don't fill it with gas. You know those people that don't pay attention.... ... show more

    • Can’t remove
Worked good at first but now when I unlock the cap it won’t let me remove. It just ratchets clicks and spins. What had to do was push down on cap and turn ever so slow and I was finally able to remove. I’m afraid to lock cap any longer.
