    • It solved my check engine light problem
With sky high gas prices I decided to get a locking gas cap - this one works great and is reasonably priced. As a bonus, it solved my check engine light problem. Gas caps are part of a vehicle's fuel vapor emissions system and after ten years (more or less) it apparently loses it sealing ability and can cause the the check engine light to go on. I did not buy it for this reason because, at the time, I did not realize it might solve my problem. It did not cause the check engine engine light to go out immediately - it took about a week and then no more check engine light!     • Fragile. Dropped it once and every piece brooe off and went everywhere
This cap was functional until I dropped it only once while removing it to pump gas. Every single piece of the cap went flying in every direction and I had to crawl around under my truck to get all the pieces. The pieces look like they are not broken and could be reassembled, but I don't have a clue how to put it all back together, so I think I'm done with it.
