This mug has two caps that you can use separately or together. One is completely sealed with a handle, the other has a sip-through hole. Together they are completely leakproof. . The best part is that this makes it ridiculously easy to clean. There is no complex mechanism to take apart, no o-ring to gingerly pry out of some tiny slot, no little crevices to collect grime or mold. There is an o-ring around the outside of the sealed/handle lid to make it completely leak proof, but it can be removed easily since it's on the outside of a screw, not recessed into the lid (like on a Hydro Flask, for example). Every surface can be easily reached with a sponge or your hands. . A common use would be to fill up with hot coffee at home, use both lids, then remove the sealed/handle lid once at the office and just keep the sipping lid on. The sipping lid holes are perfect too, it really makes an enjoyable sip (not too big or too small). . The flexibility in lids makes this a perfect food flask too, increasing its value. It's a great size for a bit of hot food, like that mid-snowshoe chili, hot oatmeal while still in your sleeping bag, or even ice cream at trail end. . Heat/cold insulation is great too. Stanley is a trusted brand that will probably be around another hundred years so your warranty is meaningful. . I wish I had one in a larger size (maybe 20 oz) for smoothies and such. . This design is just perfect and well engineered, with the screw mechanism and o-ring being well thought out (for once!). Simple is the best. ... show more
