Our first desk arrived with a corner broken off the top. The damage was clearly from a forklift arm and visible without opening any packaging. I emailed the standup desk store with a picture of the damage, and they shipped a replacement right away. The desk was very easy to assemble with good pictographs and no missing hardware. We bought the desk and an extension to make a 6’ L shaped desk. The height adjustment motors run smooth and quiet. This desk has brought peace to our home office where I’m 6’3” and my wife is 5’3’. I give this product 4/5 stars because the instructions are lacking and were created for the desktop that has pre-drilled holes, not the solid wood one. They have an assembly video on their website but it is completely useless if you get the wood top. Outside of some inconveniences, I absolutely love this desk and am very happy with the purchase. As you can see in my picture, it holds both my work monitors, 24", 27", my work laptop, and then my gaming pc, 22" and 24" gaming monitors. This desk is massive! If you buy this desk and don't receive wood screws, I went to Lowe's and the gentleman working there had me get #8 1" self piercing screws. There was no pre-drilling required, the screws drive into the wood just fine. You will need 20 screws to secure the legs/lift system to the wood. I did reach out to customer support and they apologized refunded me $30 for the missing screws. Mistakes happen and they rectified the situation. My suggestion to the company is make new instructions for this model of desk that are easy to follow AND update their assembly video on their website, because not everyone is a carpenter and may not realize that it isn't that hard to install. If the company took a better approach to assembly instructions and sent the proper screws, their wouldn't be as many negative reviews. Also. sending me the bolts for the other desktop is quite useless and wasteful, so perhaps their shipping/warehouse side needs a process improvement in that area. Overall, I recommend this desk if you have a power drill and are willing to buy some screws from the hardware store. ... show more

The desk is huge and customer service is excellent. The instructions weren't clear about what way to point the legs since the three holes that you'll screw into at the end are not listed in the beginning of the instructions. I had to unscrew some bolts and it caused them to strip and the bolts can not be screwed back in. I messaged the seller and they sent a replacement desk top within a few hours. The instructions for assembly are easy to follow, however, it is better to put the top on after you have flipped it back on it's feet. The top for the desk is butcher block which makes it heavy. Picking all of this up as a unit is awkward and heavy. The desk itself is beautiful and functional. I love the stand up feature of this desk. The stand which goes up and down is perfect. The laminate top is cheap material, and was broken in half when it arrived. The seller’s customer service has not responded in over two weeks, despite sending pictures. I finally had a nicer wood top made myself in a local carpentry shop.

Item took a bit to ship and when it did the shipper sent it UPS Freight and refused to pay for a lift. So...I get a call saying that I need to schedule a delivery so I can lift the package (240lb pallet) off the truck myself as UPS will not do it. UPS tried to call the shipper to get them to pay for a lift ( as they would not let me) to no avail. I had to find people who were willing to help me get this package off the truck and bring into my house. When it arrived .. it was all scratched up (see pic of the worst type of scratches). Luckily the top of the desk only has a few scratches near the edges and aren't that noticeable (afraid to send it back as it was so hard to get). To spend so much on a desk ... one would think they'd try a little harder to give a good customer experience for word of mouth. My mouth says - be weary unless you don't care about how, what, and when you get your purchase. Note: This does appear to be a good desk and solidly built and much larger than the picture looks .. just wish there were no scratches all over it after spending so much :( Assembly was not difficult but certainly not done in minutes (instructions lacking in words vs pictures). Map it out before you start so you don't have redo's. Use your phone and you can test it in your house before purchasing. ... show more

This particular desk DOES NOT come with the correct assembly instructions and does not have predrilled holes. Mine was missing a foot which took the Stand up desk store 343 days to get it to me. They didn’t offer any sort of refund or apology for this happening. They did tell me that they couldn’t overnight the part even though I told them my desk was literally in pieces in the middle of my office, leaving me no workspace. I HIGHLY recommend you make sure all parts & peices are included before you begin assembling. Also, 2 others in my office ordered these desks and even though the box says “Refuse if damaged”, we would have had to refuse al boxes! They were destroyed! Luckily everything is double wrapped in cardboard. Other than this issue, it looks great! ... show more
