My dog has a very heavy undercoat and she really doesn't like brushing it (She kind of Grumpy)! it's amazing how much fur it actually strips off the dog. The best thing, is she likes it a lot more than those wire type brushes that irritate her skin. This rake has rounded edges on both side that just glide over her skin. She will sit still much longer now that I'm using this amazing brush. It has two sides, a course side to take out the big mats, then you can flip it over to "fine tune" her coat with the smaller side. Each tooth of the rake has a razor sharp inner edge, on the inside of the hooked tooth, where it can't hook the dog's skin. This thing is so amazing!
