I got this yoga mat for my girlfriend’s mother for her birthday. I think she likes it but I am unsure since someone else got her a meet and greet with a couple alpaca as a gift. It’s all she was grateful for. I’m not sure I’ll ever buy her a gift again. She talked more about the alpaca poop and how good it was as a fertilizer then she did our gifts. So I would absolutely recommend this Yoga mat for yourself or as a gift, just make sure no animals will also be attending the party.

I got this yoga mat as a gift and was at first...confused. I had a high end Manduka Mat and was unclear why anyone thought they could outshine the Manduka. I must say that the stakt mat has made some significant improvements in my ability to practice yoga in a state where the more modifictions for a pose the better-that is this new equipment! I love my new mat. I don't have to coax it in place, it has a natural cutpoint. Thank you!

I originally purchased the mat for my TSS workouts to help elevate my wrist for planks and give extra cushion to my knees. Although I like the concept of the mat, the mat isn't soft enough to give relief to my knees while doing moves like a runners lunge. I noticed I had more discomfort using the mat than without. Also, the smell when you first open the box is overwhelming. The chemical smell consumed the entire room where I laid the mat out to breathe. It took over a week for the smell to dissipate. I'm not a fan of the material used as well. It feels very cheap, scuffs very easily, and my hands constantly slip. It's been a few months since I first got the mat and it's definitely not one that I would purchase again or give any consideration to.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Originally picked this may because of the concept of folding for wrist support. The material is not how it looks on the photos. It reminds me of the 90s styrofoam lunch trays you’d have if it was a field trip day. Sadly not impressed and if I hadn’t tried it out, I’d return for a refund.

I saw the mat on shark tank and I loved it because I do Pilates and yoga but now for hot Pilates and hot yoga it might not be the best because if you sweat it slides a bit ands then when you clean it and don’t let it dry very good it can start giving off a smell sooo maybe not the best for hot classes for the price.
