I upgraded from silicone gap covers because these metal covers are easier to clean and install since they don’t require any adhesive. They’re also more durable and attractive. These covers use springs that you manually push out, and that tension holds the cover in the gap. I had to install mine with the slightly wider side on the stove, and that flattened it giving it a seamless look. When I had it the other way it wouldn’t lie flat, so if you’re having issues just try flipping and installing in the other direction. These covers stay in place, but they do sometimes slide when cleaning. This covers can stretch as long as 2 ft. It is very quick and easy to correct when it happens. The stove and countertop look better with the gap covered and it also keeps food from falling into the crack between the stove and cabinets so they’re necessary. After having covers, I’ll never go without. Since these covers are metal, they’ll last for years and are easy to install and remove so they’re easy to take with you when you move without having to worry about cleaning up messy adhesive like used with the silicone covers.

These gap covers are really convenient because you can make them the exact size that you need. They look pretty nice, much better than staring at the gaps between my stove and the lower cabinets. These definitely keep things from falling down the cracks. The only thing that isn't the best about the adjustment feature is that you can't lock them in place at the length you choose. If you bump them, they will definitely change length and you will have to adjust them all over again. This is why they don't get 5 stars from me. I ended up still wanting them, so I secured them at the length that I wanted by putting a small piece of tape on the backs of them. I also made sure to pull the tabs out on the sides so that when I placed them in the gaps, they would stay put. They work just fine with something to secure the length. If you don't secure them after adjustment, you're gonna get really mad with these. They work just fine with a little MacGyver-ing, lol.

We've had the silicone gap fillers for a couple years, but hate how much they slide when I go to wipe them down/clean them off. These did install nicely, once we lowered our stove ever so slightly so the sides would be level with the counters (kind of a pain with the earthquake proofing wall anchor we have due to being in CA). Creates a very sleek look, doesn't slide when I go to wipe them down, and not worried about the possibility of them melting being nearish to an open flame (gas range).

These didn't come with any instructions on how exactly to adjust the 'springs' so I referred back to this product page to see. I bent the tabs out and that just seemed to make the whole thing want to pop up out of the gap instead of helping hold it in. So they're really just sitting over the gap. Any time they get bumped I'm going to have to readjust and resituate them though. I can't say for sure since I haven't tried them, but I might have preferred just a fixed-length silicone gap cover instead.

These are a really simple solution to dropping things between the gap of the stove and counter. They simply slide to fit the size you need and you plop it in the crack and it rests between the counter and stove edge. It did seem to wobble a bit so I flipped it around and fit better because the slope of the gap cover and counter. I haven't had any issues with it and I'm not sure what could go wrong with it. No complaints, if you got the gap then this will be your simple solution.

I love this 2-pack set of stainless steel stove gap covers. They are perfect. The best part is they are adjustable (they slide) and can lock into the length that I need for my stove. They are heat resistant and easy to wipe clean. I love the way they look as opposed to the silicone ones. A great value and find. I highly recommend.

Only reason these got 1 star is because well, you have to out st least 1 and also because it DOES stop things from falling. However, they don't fit right, and they slide open/closed however they feel they want to with even the slightest bump. Don't waste your money or your time with these metal ones and get some nice silicone ones!

I have been meaning to purchase oven gap covers for the longest time and just kept putting it off til "tomorrow". When I saw these on Amazon, it was time to order them. I constantly and preparing food near my stove top and random pieces of vegetables or fruit always seem to fall right into that gap between the stove and the counter. The covers arrived and were so simple to extend to the perfect size. I was really hoping they would lay more flush agains the counter. I can see grime easily getting underneath the covers, but it's not like they're difficult to move. In fact, they just sit in place and can easily be lifted up for cleaning. They are strong and sturdy and feel like they will last for years to come. Problem solved.
