We bought a very expensive Thor dual zone French door wine cooler for our remodeled kitchen and it did not last for 3 years before the compressor conked out. It was also quite loud when it ran and produced a lot of heat while mounted under the counter. After it quit we researched a lot of different options and could not find a French door model that we liked other than a Thor. After evaluating the space in out kitchen for the 2 doors compared to 1 door to open we decided to purchase this unit with a single door because the reviews said it was very quiet and even though there is only 1 door there still are 2 different zones. This unit is so quiet we sometimes wonder if it is still working and even though it is mounted in the same place as the Thor there is significantly less heat produced from the compressor and it does not run nearly as often. This unit is about $800 less and looks like it will last for years to come.

The beverage cooler came very well packaged. I was delighted it fit into the space our old wine fridge vacated. The temperature seems to be holding true at 40° and 38°. The only cons are the light does not automatically turn on and off, but the most disappointing thing is the wine shelves are much too close together. I had to remove every other shelf to get 3 regular sized, 750 ml, bottles into 1 shelf. This is because the bottle is more bell shaped. Even the straighter bottle shown in the picture was a snug fit.

We’ve only had the unit for a few days and so far like it a lot. Our old unit (different brand) failed after 9 years, so this was to replace that. It’s pretty much identical in style and features, with the exception of the wooden shelves which I think look nice and stylish. My only criticism so far is that the top section which has two shelves, is the only section that can refrigerate low enough for Champagne and Sparkling Wines, but the shelves do not have enough clearance to fit them properly. You can force them in there but the shelf above will be resting on them, and the shelves are a beast to them open and close with that hindrance, and zi also worry about bottles breaking because of the added pressure, but I think they will be OK. It’s really shortsighted in this design aspect because each shelf only needs an extra 1/4” at most and at 33” tall, they could add that extra bit of space and the unit would still more than clear the space under a counter with room for leveling.

I currently have 45 bottles in this fridge, with one magnum. This is an assortment of bottle types: Pinot, Bordeaux, Cab, Riesling, Chardonnay. Would absolutely fit 46, even if you might need to get creative about bottles types with each other. Whites are kept crisp cold around 45F and reds cellar chilled around 60F with my settings. Fridge is plenty quiet. I see it's $150 off right now: that's a steal! Worth the $750 I paid.

Replacing a wine cooler that failed after 8 years - vendor of the brand we owned projected a ship date of a new/replacement cooler of no earlier than 6-9 weeks. This vendor/brand, Staigis, had good reviews on Amazon, good price, and would ship immediately. Product arrived within days, the Amazon delivery guys brought it into my kitchen, it came well-packed yet was easy to unpack. The door swings the way I want (hinges on right) so there was no set up required (they do include left-side hinges). Dimensions were as advertised - it slid easily into the cabinet space occupied by our old cooler. I let it sit 24 hours as recommended then ran it another 24 hours before loading it. Came to the operating temp I set quickly and also returned to operating temp within a short time after loading it. Easy to set the temperatures, runs quietly, and looks good in our kitchen. The uppermost shelf is large enough to accommodate champagne bottles. The lower zone, "red wine" shelves easily accommodate larger-diameter burgundy wine bottles. Overall, I find it accommodates various (and larger) size bottles better than the cooler I replaced. Others have commented about the brightness of the LED temperature display - it is bright (picture a blue night light in your kitchen) and there is no way to dim or shut it off - it's not a problem to me but you should take note of this if you feel it will annoy you. So, three weeks in, I am pleased with this purchase. Update Jan. 2023: Nine months later and everything I wrote above still holds. It's quiet, maintains the temperatures I set, the shelves slide in-and-out easily. This is just a better cooler, in every way, than the one I replaced.

We are using this in our living room/teenage hang-out room and wanted to have a dual fridge so one side could be locked for adult beverages and one opened for kid beverages. This model fit all our needs. The design is pretty and until we decide on a permanent placement, we plan on leaving it as a standalone rather than built in. The living/hang-out room is near my home office (about 50 feet away) and I never hear the motor during the day, so it quiet. And as far as the locks - I am sure it is easy to pick the lock, but if you trust your kids to make good decisions, having two individually controlled sides gives a little piece of mind and it is a space saving solution for the entire family to enjoy.

Perfect for our needs. Enough room for beer/soda on one side and wine on the other. Shelves don’t all come out totally, but the refrigerator part works great. Love that it can also be locked if needed
