  • Fits like a glove!
So I've been using a modified regular sax stand for my curved soprano and it's been doing ok. Recently, I've been using my curved soprano more and more. So the modified sax stand wasn't cutting it. This stand fits my curved soprano perfect! Has a strong hold and does not wobble at all. The tripod legs are good and feel sturdy. They have rubber tips that grabs to carpet like glue and does a decent job on other slick floors. The stand doesn't come up when I pick up my soprano which is good. I hate it when I grab my tenor or alto and then have to shake it to drop the sax stand that gets stuck to the bell. The foam is well done and protects my horn from getting scratched. All in all a good stand and fits well. The only downside... It's bulky!! The bell brace detaches but not the legs. So I have to stick this in my tenor gig bag since it does not fit in my soprano case. Not a big deal, but just something I wished that would be more versatile in disassembly. Have some great gigs and even more tips!! ... show more

  • Great quality stand
Very impressed with the quality of this stand. Not flimsy at all and holds my curved soprano perfectly.

  • Pretty sturdy stand
I like this stand. It's sturdy, light-weight, and good quality. I do recommend for gigs but, don't leave it in high traffic areas; as the sax can easily be knocked off.

  • Great so far!
Seems to be a very stable stand. Does not tip over easily. I would buy again.

  • Finally!!!
I had a hard time finding an actual stand that resembles the ones for my alto and tenor. This stand is solid and actually is a bit taller than I expected which is a plus. It’s sturdy and I don’t worry about my soprano typing or fanning while on stage or on display.

  • Yes it really is for a curved soprano sax
The seller should have provided a picture but since they didn't I'm providing one to support my fellow curved soprano players. Also, because I know there are other supposedly "curved soprano" saxophone stands out there that are. I ordered this one and the stainless steel $16 one at the same time. This one arrived within 2 days, it's been over a week and I regret ordering the stainless one even though I haven't received it yet, I wish I had just ordered 2 of these. BTW, the curved soprano that you're looking at is the $300 Aliexpress replica of the $5.3k Bronze Yanagisawa SC-992 Curved Soprano. No doubt you take your chances with AE, but it must have been my day when I ordered from China because based on the 2 years I've owned it, it's by far the best $300 I've ever spent! Baby is spot on in tune and sings like a bird!!!! ... show more

  • Not the quality expected.
Stand is sturdy enough, but not the quality of the Hercules brand. I couldn't find a curved soprano sax stand made by Hercules.

  • amazingly sturdy for something at this price point
As shown in the first photo the secondary brace has two placement options, which has caused some confusion for other reviewers. While it isn't indicated, the lower option would seem to be for an alto sax. As for criticisms concerning stability, as implied by the second photo with my soprano, I haven't found that to be the case; at all. As a footnote, I was amused by the "credits": designed in Belgium/manufactured in -- wait for it -- Asia; the latter of which is likely a euphemism designed to placate/misdirect xenophobes. :-) ... show more
