  • Compact, EZ access, Secure, no keys & NO Smell
Color: Black Style: Combination Lock
After reading the other reviews on this item I decided to buy + try it for my Glock firearm. Fast shipping via USPS from the vendor, I changed the combo in seconds, and it was ready to lock & stow away - perfect for my needs. The exterior is 2.5" tall (including the turn knob next to the combo), 9.5" long X 6.5" wide. Smooth black paint makes it EZ to slide under seats but you can add a lil' grip tape to help hold it in place while driving. When anchored inside a vehicle, the box & cable can be pulled out about 2' using a 2.5" anchor loop. The lid opens 180degrees with no restrictions, like a book. Interior size is 8.5" long X 6" wide and I'd say 1.5" between the foam, including the foam. A small Glock firearm and 2 mags fit nice + snug, check the size for larger firearms. The combo number for 2 does say Z, cool. No keys needed, No batteries ever, just roll your combo, twist the knob and pull open the top cover, fast access to the interior which does NOT smell - not like the other reviews I read on other boxes. Foam interior can easily be replaced as needed for thicker or thinner lining. If it's at night or dusk and depending on your vehicles' interior light, have a flashlight ready for combo access or use your cell phone light ... if it's not locked inside the box. Ha. Low Price, High Quality, EZ Access, Enjoy. ... show more

Color: Black Style: Key Lock
Just got these in the mail a week ago. We were looking for something better than a locked glovebox or trunk to secure our concealed carry firearms while in "No-gun" areas. Mostly doctors visits for my husband and college for me. Product is well made. Fit and finish are excellent. While the cable wont stop a determined thief with pair of bolt-cutters/sawzall/any other nefarious cutting device it's definitely not an easy to break cable. It is comparable to a rubber coated bicycle lock cable. Fits perfectly underneath passenger seat so that it is completely hidden yet easy to slide out and access quickly. So far weve tried it on quite a few different handguns for fit testing. List follows: SIG P227 with extra magazine SIG P229 with extra magazine GLOCK 30S with 2 extra magazines WALTHER PPS with 2 extra magazines SPRINGFIELD XDS45 with extra magazine FN FNX45 (requires a little downward pressure to close because the magazine baseplate is so large but it will fit) S&W SHIELD 9 & 40 with extra magazine RUGER SR 45 & 9 MAGNUM RESEARCH BABY DESERT EAGLE II FULL SIZE 9 In summary for the money, you cant beat this case. Any questions feel free to ask. ... show more

  • Excellent case among the many alternatives
Color: Black Style: Key Lock
I spent an enormous amount of time looking for a case like this to be used for storing a firearm in a vehicle. This seemed to be the best for the desired purpose and it has performed very well. Excellent features are the low profile (thus it can be slid under a seat in a vehicle whose seats have low clearance to the body), a sufficiently long cable that can be attached to a part of the seat's mounting frame while still allowing for access by someone sitting in an adjacent seat, a high quality lock, two keys, and a strong metal case. I can think of numerous tools that could be used to get the box open absent the key or to remove the box from a vehicle. No, this product is not equivalent to a bank vault. But consider the purpose: To store something (a firearm in this case) securely inside a vehicle and out of sight. I don't worry much about the fact that the cable could be cut or the case broken into. Why? Because when the case is used as described, it is done so in an urban or suburban area with people constantly around. Someone breaking into the vehicle is unlikely to have the time and power tools or other large tools with them to work on the cable or case. Especially if the case is out of sight (how would they know that it is there?). Now, if the case were being used as described and the vehicle left in some remote location for days at a time, then yes, someone could have the time and tools and space to break into the vehicle and case (again, if they knew it was there). But that is not my situation. ... show more
