Description

The Squier by Fender SA-150N is a full-size nylon-string acoustic that delivers classical Spanish guitar tones without breaking the bank. It’s strong enough to stand up to the everyday use (and abuse) that beginning players might throw its way thanks to its all-laminate construction with lindenwood top and mahogany back and sides. This guitar also features scalloped “X”-bracing, mahogany neck, and a durable dark-stained maple fingerboard for an instrument that looks as good as it sounds. With its wider neck and soft- playing nylon strings, the SA-150N is a prime choice for fingerpicking newcomers.

I’d say it’s worth $100. The frets aren’t too bad. Might need a little filing. The E, A and D strings all have rust spots on them so they need to be replaced. There was paper around the strings, but they still rusted somehow. It has a decent sound, but nothing to brag about. But I only bought this so I could have a classical guitar in my collection. It won’t get played much. I’d say it would be OK for a beginner. It is a nice looking guitar and weighs nothing. For the money I’d say buy it. If you want quality, then step way up. :-) ... show more

Right out of the box, I am more impressed with this than another guitar I payed almost 3 times as much for. The tone and sustain are nice. Even the strings that came with it are decent. The action and intonation were better than expected. I cannot think of a single thing I could criticize for any guitar even costing twice as much. The guitar is definitely functional. If it’s your first guitar and you have a teacher you’re probably fine, but mine needed the truss rod adjusted or the action was far too low, which made everything quite buzzy. So if you don’t have a teacher maybe do a quick google to see how to do that. Once that’s done the guitar is fine, holds a tune, but the sound is a bit small. Perfectly fine for just playing for yourself at home. Not bad for just over $100 ... show more
