  • Perfect out of the box from Crazy Dave's Music Store
Color: Olympic White Style: 70s Deluxe
Wow!!! I don't know how many of y'all remember the show, Happy Days. The Fonz used to walk up to the mirror to comb his hair, but after pulling out his comb and looking in the mirror, he had a look like: "Ah— perfect already!" That was my experience unboxing this Squier Telecaster Deluxe guitar. Before I even plugged it into an amp, I went and got all the necessary tools to set it up. I put it on the workbench and tuned it to standard, and wow— it needed nothing but to be played. Awesome. ... show more

  • Great value for the money. Great tone. A real player.
Color: Olympic White Style: 70s Deluxe
I wanted a classic sounding telecaster and found this Classic Vibe 70s. The pictures looked great, and I watched several reviews on youtube... and there was just so much positive feedback. So, I went for it, and I am very happy with this. It looks even better than its pics. The body is a very comfortable shape. The instrument has a slight neck dive, but nothing too troublesome. The neck is chunky, but feels nice. The frets are neatly places, so there is no discomfort changing positions. The two lower pots are a little tight, no big deal. The input jack was loose. Tightened it up with a 12mm socket, again no big deal. Then I plugged it in... This guitar really sings. Each position on the pickup selector provides a distinct voice. All of them sound good. I played it through a Peavey Classic 30 and through a Marshall AS50. There was nothing I didn't like. The guitar tunes up easily. The intonation was good out of the box. I am very happy with this guitar. I think it's a fantastic value for its price. But I don't think that it should be overlooked as an entry level guitar. Even if you are experienced and can afford the more expensive Fender models, give this one a try also, in my opinion. ... show more

  • Great, but needed work on the Nut
Color: Olympic White Style: 70s Deluxe
This Guitar....incredible for the price!!!! BUT.....!!!!! If you want to buy it, you NEED to understand that this guitar is not a “ready to go, out of the box” guitar. It needs some serious setup done by either someone with a decent amount of electric guitar maintenance experience, or a pro tech at your local music store. Before I bought this guitar on Amazon, I played one at my local music shop, pick ups sounded great, but the nut WAS NOT cut down to make for a stable tuning experience. Seems as though the manufacturers didn’t even attempt to cut the nut to the proper depth for any of the strings. I decided that I wanted the guitar anyways, knowing this was an issue, and went strait to Amazon to make the purchase. Sure enough, when the guitar arrived to my home, it had the same nut problem that the store model did. So, I ended up caving and buying the StewMac nut files for medium gauge strings so I could make the adjustments my self on this guitar. One I got the nut cut where I wanted it....IT WAS AMAZING TO EXPERIENCE. I assume I will need to replace a few other parts here soon, but for price that this guitar is listed....you can’t beat it. Just be aware, it will need a bit of work for it to function properly. ... show more

  • Beautiful guitar for a great price
Color: Olympic White Style: 70s Deluxe
I kept seeing this deal even after the holidays so I felt I had to jump on it before it went up. Can go from warm and full to bright and crisp. Love the feel and the look. Almost perfect out of the box just a bit of set up.

  • It’s a Squier that plays like a $700 MIM
Color: Olympic White Style: 70s Deluxe
Ok so I’m still excited about this guitar. Lemme explain. It plays great, it was a Wednesday guitar, middle of the week high quality. This was made after a good mornings coffee. Things I want to clear that I don’t like. Neck bolts are slightly stripped from factory however the neck is still snug in neck joint. Replaced the bridge with a GOTOH after a few intonation issues. Different pickguard and knobs for aesthetic. But….. this thing made me love playing guitar again. I’ve put a little money In for upgrades but I’m still surprised how much I actually enjoy this guitar. Even though I bought it with a Black Friday discount, it’s worth the retail. Buy it, don’t look back. Upgrade it. Love it. This thing is a workhorse. ... show more

  • Packaged poorly but made it undamaged
Color: Olympic White Style: 70s Deluxe
Aside from very poor packaging the guitar was covered in dust and has small blemishes on the back. After cleaning, relieving the neck and adjusting the bridge saddles it plays and sounds very good. New bridge and strings and this could be a keeper.
