  • Extreme value for your money here!
The value for the price is there. It sounds great and plays great. And its delivered to your front door. Ive been playing guitar and bass for 14 years and this is my first brand new bass. I love it.

  • QC & Set Up Issues
This is still a great bass for the money. Great sound. That being said, mine came a bit damaged with some quality control issues. The binding on the neck came marked up pretty bad and the pickguard screws are all at an angle and not screwed down properly. The action was also pretty high at unboxing. After setting it up to my liking it's much more playable, but not everyone may have that skillet. Budget another $75-100 to get this set up by a pro. Overall still a great bass for this price range. Just a bit disappointed that I paid for a new bass and it came damaged. ... show more

  • This bass is bad a**!
I bought this bass during one of Fender's seasonal sales and was able to get it here (on Amazon) EVEN CHEAPER than all the other stores ("G" Center, Aust'n, etc.) that were also honoring the sale! I bought a Squire Affinity Telecaster for myself last Xmas which I am verrrry happy with, but it's quality is definitely not on the same level as this Classic Vibe! On the Affinity Tele, I did find a few sharp frets that needed a little filing — not so on this Classic Vibe! On the Affinity Tele, the body is a little thinner than on the real Fender Teles — not so on the Classic Vibe Bass the fit and finish are all top notch! About three months before I copped this Classic Vibe Bass, I bought a used Affinity P Bass from Craigslist which I would rate as "way okay". It has some of the same (production cost) shortcomings as the Affinity Telecaster with the thinner body and synthetic nut. I'm not saying that the Affinity guitars suck or anything — they both are very nice instruments — just when compared to the Classic Vibe… …I'm just sayin'! ... show more

  • Warped neck and high frets.
Couldn’t get the next to straighten out and the bass had multiple high frets. Take 30 days to process a return and Amazon was unable to send a replacement. Got a new one through sweetwater and it was perfect.

  • Arrived with a completely unusable neck and a stripped truss rod nut.
I'm a beginner to the instrument so this went unnoticed for months, it wasn't until I was able to get lessons setup that I was informed that there were issues with the instrument. The bass guitar arrived with a neck so bowed and incorrectly set/angled that two different guitar repair shops couldn't repair it and it had to be sent back to Fender on warranty. Also the truss rod nut was stripped when it arrived so it couldn't be adjusted either. So a word of warning to other buyers on here, make sure to take the instrument to a reliable instrument shop to have it setup and checked immediately after purchase. ... show more

  • Great Bass
What I expected was a more poorly constructed bass. What I got was unexpected. The frets were smooth as silk. I could only find two minor flaws. One of which was a tiny spot on the finish you might find on a $3000 instrument. The other appear to be something kicked up a corner of the pickguard. So minor, I haven't attempted to repair it. It might be easily fixed. The biggest issue I have with this item is the time it took to leave the warehouse was around a month, while showing "in stock" the entire time. I should also mention, I purchased the 70's Classic Vibe black and it was discounted around $65. ... show more
