  • It works, make sure you have the kind of faucet it connects to.
Our new house has no dishwasher, and no place for the larger rolling portable dishwashers. I was not expecting much from a countertop unit but handwashing frequently was getting to be too time consuming. We set this up where the dishrack was. It would be great for a bar too. The jets are surprisingly powerful, the dishes come out completely clean even when its very full (its working better than some full sized built ins I've had). I alternate between Lemi shine detergent packs, and Great Value powdered detergent which I've found to be as good as some more expensive detergents. You really don't need a lot of detergent, and different cycles need different amounts so its more efficient getting a box of detergent rather than pods. The Lemishine packs are the exception because they help prevent scale build up, and the packs are small enough to fit in the trays. It does dry but its not great at it, after it finishes leave the door open a crack and everything dries pretty fast. Its small, it works great with my Corelle dishes, it might not be great for larger bulky stoneware like Pfaltzgraff if you need to fit a lot. You wont be fitting most pots and pans in here (I still handwash them). The flatware basket is a little flimsy, the handle on mine broke but its still usable, and you need to make sure its not overloaded by the detergent door. You do need to make sure your sink faucet spout is compatible. Its a pretty standard fit for a sink faucet with a screw on aerator, but it might not work with some designer look faucets and if your sink's faucet spout has a sprayer on it its pretty obvious you are not going to attack anything to the sprayer head. The connector it uses is very nice, you remove the aerator then screw in the adaptor which can be left on the faucet, the hose has a quick connect head (like an air compressor hose but easier to remove) so its easy to put on and take off when not in use. ... show more

  • No more dishes in the sink! Loooove it!
I have a dirty little secret. I Hate washing dishes. I had to just give up and confess that fact. It is the last thing I want to think about after cooking. I love cooking but if I don't clean up all those dishes right away, the motivation to wash them goes away. I live in a beautiful small apartment but I didn't have a dishwasher. I've never had a dishwasher. But lately, because of long days at work and being very tired when I get home, I just want to eat and go to sleep. (Not the best idea for my waistline but let's get back on topic). I searched for quite a while and was delighted to find out that there as a solution- a countertop dishwasher!. After doing a lot of comparisons I decided to go with this more updated digital version. I wanted to get black because it would go with all of my other kitchen appliances. I also liked that this had a digital timer and countdown. Well I am so grateful that I got this! I no longer dread cooking because I'm thinking about the cleanup. I load it and set it and forget it. I was worried about falling asleep one night after it started running, but that isn’t an issue. The pressure from the water faucet somehow turns off when the cycle is done. I currently may have this installed on my kitchen counter. It doesn’t fit under my sink. So even though it can be somewhat of an eyesore, I'm very happy with it because now I go to sleep without dishes in my sink! ... show more

  • Probably the thing I love most in my entire apartment
My Mom got me one of these for Christmas like ten years ago. It was the same basically thing but an older model. I LOVED IT. Completely changed my life because I live in an apartment and couldn't actually install a full size dish washer. She knows from decades of experience that I hate washing dishes and it was the best gift. Speaking of living in an apartment, my landlord sucks so I got a cockroach infestation and they moved right in here because it was warm. Not a dig on the product, especially because when it stopped working because it was somehow a cockroach motel, I went out and bought another one. …after some extermination of course. Once you go dishwasher you never go back. THEN I moved and let someone stay in my apartment while I was gone and he stole it. What did I do? I bought another one -- this model, in fact. That's how much I love this thing. I've gone through three of them (not because they didn't work well, mind you) and I'll never live without one. Hooking it up to your sink is easy as long as you can screw the little tip off at the end of your faucet then put the one they provide on there instead. You pop the hose on there in like one whole second, set the water to hot, and walk away. It drains down the sink so there's no water hookup needed, all you need is power. It'll take care of basically four of each plates, bowls, and glasses, plus a basket of silverware. Pots fit in there too but not all at the same time. It can do all that because it's not super duper small, so measure the cabinet space next to your sink; I slid it into my spot with maybe a few millimeters to spare. Nice things about this latest model: - It shows you how much time remains - It does not beep like a moron if it's done and you open the door without pushing a button to turn it off Bad thing about this latest model: - It has a low groaning sound unlike the previous ones so I really can't run it too late at night because a neighbor's bed is right next to my kitchen. Overall, this thing is rad and I will literally own one until the day I die. Not as a tribute to my laziness, but because my Mom bought it for me (but also probably because I'm just really lazy and hate doing dishes). ... show more
