  • Absolutely Loving the Limbo Reverb
Color: Limbo Blue
The media could not be loaded. I was blown away when I first plugged in the Klowra Limbo. The ambience is super clear and lush, none of that digital mud. Switching between the 9 modes with the LED button is fast and easy, and honestly, the Shimmer mode alone makes this pedal worth it. It has a wide dynamic range that really reacts to your playing. The ramp feature is a nice touch. I can smoothly shift the reverb size in real time using either the footswitch or an expression pedal. Big plus: almost zero hiss. UPDATE: After using this pedal for almost two months, I’m very satisfied with the purchase. To my surprise, I actually prefer it over the Source Audio pedal, which used to be my favorite. It excels at creating pristine, mysterious, and expansive ambient soundscapes. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile “Swiss Army knife” reverb pedal for creative and experimental music. ... show more

  • WOW
Color: Everlast Black
So I have the Alabs delay as well and this definitely feels like a step up in quality. Sounds are fantastic, each setting feels unique but they all sound super rich and full. The Alabs, while a good pedal on it's own, sometimes sounded a little thin or harsh. The tap tempo has been upgraded as well, takes a short press to engage it and then it switches back over quickly. I was looking to replace my WA ARP87 (I really like having a time knob, not just tap tempo) and was a little leery of this not having a dedicated tap switch, but this version feels much nicer to use. If you're looking for a solid delay pedal this one definitely is up to par with, and even outshines, more expensive units. ... show more

  • Great at any price, a steal at what they’re charging
Color: Everlast Black
Wow! I just got mine and jammed with it for an hour, and it sounds great. The tape echo alone is worth the price — you can control the amount of dirt and flutter with the Texture knob, and at high repeats it’s quite a gorgeous wash behind my playing. The other effects seem good but I haven’t explored them as much. It’s great to have a granular/glitch effect. Being able to switch settings temporarily by holding down the foot switch seems useful. The pedal feels rugged, has nice artwork, and generally seems a labor of love. I can’t imagine how they can afford to sell it for half the price of comparable pedals from Walrus, Catalinbread, etc. ... show more

  • Good Pedal, Weird Company
Color: Vein Red
For the price, it's a nice cheap pedal that sounds great. The glide/ramp effect sounds cool, but most people will probably find it to be a kind of limited gimmick. I mainly use it as a pitch-shifted signal splitter, and it does that job well. That said, they did something really weird with the manual. When you open it, it contains this quote: "'My soul travels through countless dimensions, finding its place in the infinite vastness.' - Walt Whitman". This line of Whitman-esque poetry is completely fake. It sounds like him, but if you type it into Google the results all point back to this pedal. It's a completely fabricated attribution. I think Klowra just asked a LLM to generate some kind of Whitman-sounding sentence and then attribute it as if it was something he actually wrote, which is...weird, right? Why would you do that? I subtracted a star because that's an incredibly dumb and weird thing to do. Stop it, Klowra. ... show more

  • Truly a professional quality reverb - but there’s a noise issue…
Color: Limbo Blue
Honestly, this could be the best compact stereo reverb on the market right now. Strymon quality - in some cases, better. For example, the shimmer on here is absolutely one of the best, smoothest shimmer tones I've ever heard. The stereo image is wonderful; it is very straightforward, too. No menu diving. Covers a wide range of tones very, very well. You might hear mostly about its capabilities in ambient music, and those comments are true - it excels there - but it also does the classics and the subtle very well. The build quality is the one thing I was worried about - I had purchased an Alabs Timeslip in the past, and that felt a little cheap with wobbly knobs. Klowra was formed by former Alabs employees who broke off to go in a different direction, and I am glad they did because they totally fixed the build quality issue! These are more solid than some more expensive pedals out there! I'd compare it to Walrus Audio's build quality. Edit: after a week of playing I noticed a loud hum coming from my pedalboard. I isolated each pedal and found the culprit to be the Klowra Limbo reverb. It is unfortunately too loud to ignore and the pedal will have to be returned. ... show more

  • Amazing Delay!
Color: Everlast Black
Incredible delay for the price! I love the tape echo mode in particular, but there are so many useful sounds in this box. The granule and crystal modes are weird and fun, the mod delay is beautiful. Tap tempo is incredibly useful. This will be staying on my board for the near future.
