The idea is nice but the most used tool is the nail set that I had to purchase separately from this kit and some of the others come in handy once in a while but not often enough to justify buying it, but if it's something you think you might use more often I'd say go for it. The 1/32 - 2/23 combination nail set I bought separately is the most useful tool the only thing is that the head of it chipped the first day i was using it and amazon was very good about replacing it but the second one did the same thing a couple weeks later down the road it still works but kind of disappointed in the quality but it is a nice way to set nails. ... show more

6+ years ago I was on job site, (finish Carpenter) & I kept hearing an odd sound coming from were the painters were working. Noticing that they carried no hammer & punch, I curiously asked what they were using. out of the pocket he showed me the springtool nail set, gave a demonstration, and I was sold! haven't picked up a nail punch since. My husband and I had just finished redecorating his "man cave" and lost count of the nails and screws we had to put in the sheetrock to display his "stuff". The hardest part was beginning to drill a screw into the sheetrock when there was no guiding hole there. The screw just buckeled out from under my husband's drill.
