I accidentally ordered the tiny weight but the seller was great about returns. After getting pt for an injury, I have to progress slowly, so these lighter weights are great. The best part is the vinyl coating. I had another set of neoprene weights that were languishing in the basement since I was using weights at the gym (pre-injury). When I dug out the weights from the basement, I realized that the black dots on them were mold and that the mold was easily disturbed. Neoprene is not smooth and turned out to be a great petri dish for whatever scary species was growing on them. Carefully took them to the trash can and started over. ... show more

These weights arrived quickly and look nice, but there's one thing I didn't know until I started to use them: the handles are extraordinarily big (circumference-wise). In fact, they are a full one inch bigger around than the weights I was previously using (5 1/2" on these), which makes it awkward to grip. And it just makes it a little bit harder to exercise with--though, on the plus side, I suppose it will increase my grip strength if I can manage to hang onto them. I just looked back at the copy for this item and saw that there's a comment that says, "Can be held in hands while walking to boost calorie-burning." Well, No, Scott. That's just laughable. You wouldn't get far before these babies just fell from your palsied hands. The price was right, though--about half of what I saw for comparable weights, so there's that. SIX WEEK RE-EVALUATION: I have to say that after using them every day for the past month and a half, these things still feel big to me...but I also have to say that I've gotten used to that, and I think that my grip has grown stronger because of the larger size of the handles. So I'm adding a star and changing my mind to "I would buy these again." ... show more

I fell and hurt my shoulder! Lost alot of strength to lift anything. My Doctor recommended purchasing these on lb. weights to help gain some more movement. Easy to hold while doing the exercises.

I purchased these to try to strengthen muscles and bones in arms and wrists. I have had success with bone strengthening medical treatments. However, not so much effect in arms as compared to spine. My doctor said this is definitely worth a try and 2 pounds is a good weight to start. The size is good, they are attractive and appear to be durable and they are comfortable to hold. ... show more
