Great carrier - I have been using since 2022 and it still looks brand new. i got it on sale for about $40 at the time, so excellent value for money. Light and durable, and definitely thoughtfully designed. I use the front window usually, but the fact that the top zips completely off is VERY helpful at the vet when he refuses to come out. The THICK plastic lining at the bottom has also been a lifesaver during the rare accident (the fabric pod shell is NOT wipeable, alas). Fits perfectly in the passenger seat of my car, which is great during roadtrips, which I do a couple times a year. Plus he looks so darn cute in his little "space pod"!.     • Good for Cats with Anxiety
I got this carrier for a cat that had PTSD from a major surgery. He used it to sleep at home and was a lot more comfortable when I took him to the vet in this, although he still had very high anxiety overall. This was the best carrier option I found for him.

I think this carrier is a good alternative to the even more pricey Sleepy Pod. It has some thoughtful features like the strap to hold the mesh door and a vinyl tray under the bed in case there are any accidents. The materials seem sorta so-so, but time will tell if they last. My cats took to it the minute I put it down near them. Pros: design - This is a great way to make it easier for your vet to examine your cat with less stress. All carriers should have removable tops. cat love - Both my cats are loving it. They especially like the bed inside. cost - While this isn't cheap, it's much less expensive than a Sleepy Pod. availability - This product is readily available whereas Sleepy Pod has had a lot of delivery problems. I tried to buy one directly from them and that process ended in a refund. I was happy to find this one instead. Cons: materials - The straps, zipper, and mesh aren't exactly made of premium materials. I'm especially disappointed with the plastic zipper. zipper access - The placement of the zipper makes this very difficult to zip up the first time. Maybe it gets easier with practice. size - One of my cats is a large 18 pounds. She can't stand up in this carrier. That's okay for a short trip but wouldn't work for anything longer. ... show more

    • Somehow the easiest way to pack a cat
Not sure why/how this works so well but never has the struggle been so easy. I take the entire top off and it’s a bed for normal use. Then when it’s time to go the v-e-t, I get the zipper started then gobble the cat up like pacman. Zero struggles on their part, zero injuries on my part. I think I paid full price for this and though I was skeptical at first, I now think it is worth every penny. One thing to note always support the bottom. The black handle straps are kept in place by plastic loops that fit inside the bottom walls like buttons but through a lot of movement and usage the plastic loops can slip through and the strap will come out. It would be nice if the next iteration of this added a secondary mechanism to secure the straps. ... show more

Like the carrier, except our cat ripped a hole in it pretty easily and was able to escape, so I can't recommend it.

    • Front net appears about to detach after only a little use
It hasn't separated yet, but it appears that the netting near the front is about to start detaching at a one inch long area. I've only had the device for a few months and only transported the cat a few times with it. Otherwise, it's a great design. The cat always seems okay getting put into it although does try to escape after a second or two, and generally does not meow or otherwise complain in the car, as he did with other, more conventional box style carriers. ... show more

I purchased this travel bed for my 11-year-old black cat (Mershaton). She has a radioiodine therapy appointment at the end of October 2021 and she stresses in her regular hard-sided carrier. I bought this a month ahead so she can get used to it. As soon as I put it together, my white cat (Diego, the more curious of the two) jumped right in! I gave him a few treats as a reward. Mershaton sat at a distance watching. After about 30 minutes, I noticed she was in it! I gave her a few treats as a reward. She sat in it for about 20 minutes and I could tell she enjoyed it. It's a good size, and comfy for both (Diego is much bigger than her). I hope this little carrier does the trick when the time comes to take her to her appointment (it'll be a 3-day stay at the facility). It seems well-built (I really hope so for the money), and the cats took no time in testing it out. I gave it 4 stars because I really haven't had a chance to travel with it yet. Great cat carrier! It’s pretty spacious inside and my cat likes to sleep in it sometimes. She will also hide under the blanket when we go to the vet. I like that everything is easily taken apart and washed. I will say that because of the shape, it’s awkward to hold sometimes. It hangs at an angle against my knee because it’s more sphere shaped so it’s not straight down. The zipper works great so far, although my cat has clawed around the edges but still hasn’t managed to rip a hole thank God. ... show more
