Feb 20, 2022: Upgrading from 1 star to 4. The 10 lb bumbells still have a lingering odor, but it's no longer offensive and permeating my entire house, just a faint burnt rubber if I hold them to my nose. I'm otherwise using them with no issues. Despite the odor of the first pair I recently, and somewhat reluctantly, ordered a pair of the 20 lb. dumbbells because they still the best price and they're otherwise functional and fine. The new 20s did not smell nearly as bad, in fact I used them right away and they're sitting out and not stinking up the room. I will probably be getting a pair of 30s soon. Original Review: These are stinking up my entire apartment! I feel like if I put them away to prevent the smell it will never dissipate, but leaving them out is almost unbearable. I can't even pick them up without having to scrub the smell off my hands. What the h*ll??? I was hoping the few reviews mentioning the odor were the exceptions, but boy was I wrong. ... show more
