  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Best towable we have ever owned
Style: 1-3 Rider
The best towable we have ever owned, this is actually our second. First one is getting a little tired after six years. Kids (big and little) love this tube. You can steer it somewhat, its stable for the smaller kids, and fun to barrel role for the bigger kids. You can also launch it off a double up like any other tube. When anchored the kids love to use it as a jungle gym. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but a bit tricky
Style: 1-3 Rider
This 3 person Poparazzi is our 3rd tube, and is fine in it's own right but falls short of ultimate glory. we ran a 3 person disk the first season, then got a big mabel the next season and this tube in our 4th season. We tube on medium small lakes in Indiana with very little in the way of waves, pulled with regular rope and the bungee rope behind our 19' chaparral with a 4.3 V6 I/O. We can run full sized adults or kids on this tube, with all 3 down on their belllies or with 2 down and 1 standing. it will submarine if you don't have everyone leaning back and stretched to the back at launch. it goes up on plane easily, but it is very hard to get it to leave the wake without serious effort. the curved bottom actually works against it, as it will ride up the wake and then go back, where as the flat bottom on the other tubes we pull will glide right over the wake and slide out beside the boat. It's fun to stand on this tube, which is pretty unique. but the driver must go dead straight, the slightest effort to turn will toss the standing rider and all the passengers go with them. I did find the fill valves to be extraordinarily stiff, and I have a very difficult time pushing in the valves after filling it up. They should loosen up with use, but it was a hazard upon its first voyage when I left them out and it started to deflate in use! No leaks or tears, and riding surface is soft and comfortable. I find myself inflating it on the dock and taking it out on the lake, where most of the other tubes i can roll up and carry around on the boat and inflate midway through the trip when needed and deflate and stow when not. It's fun, and i'm glad we have it for variety and novelty; but the big mabel does all the same things, is easier to whip outside the wake, and is more versatile (you can ride sitting down, chariot style, and standing chariot style). The disk and the poparazzi also require a good deal of strength and stamina to hold onto at speed, whereas sitting on a big mabel/captain's chair/inflatable couch tube requires much less core strength to just sit and hold on. at slow speeds this can submarine easily, so we keep it under 4 mph or above 12. it's comfortable as a lounger and fun as a swim platform when at anchor. The numerous handles make it easy to reboard after falling off. Overall i'd rate this an 8 or 9 out of 10. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars It is a blast, but a bear to haul and could use an internal tube connection
Style: 1-3 Rider
I notices some reviews that complain about the product diving into the water, but you need to hit the gas more than you think at the start so that the tube planes up quickly. Once up, it is a blast. If you start too slowly, the nose drags into the water. The tube is heavy and awkward to move when out of the water. I am a strong guy and carried it solo down a dock, but wouldn't do it again if I can help it, especially along narrow railings. Had help during use #2, and wasn't much easier. Make sure you have a power source on or near the boat and inflate there. We did not have this option. Big warning: The internal tube is not attached to anything. The 2 nozzles come out of Velcro flaps in two locations. When deflating and moving the heavy tube to let dry, there is a risk of the internal tube moving or twisting so that when inflated again its not in the correct position. The outer shell won't allow the position to correct itself because its tight as it should be. There really should be a connection between the inner tube and outer shell to eliminate this unnecessary challenge. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Heavy & Large
Style: 1-3 Rider
So much fun. Kids love it. Seems very sturdy so far. Just be aware it is massive and heavy. It takes two people to carry this.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Loads of fun
Style: 1-3 Rider
We own this towable and a smaller flat / round towable. They are both fun. The Poparazzi is so large, that is is tough to "swing it wide" around the side of the boat and then zip it back across the wake (like you can on the smaller one.) it seems to act like a "sail" up in the wind, and the wind keeps it from going wide. Other than that it is fun because three or four kids can get on it and goof off. We have wrestling matches, and crazy fun on it. Our favorite is to put both towables out on two ropes and then jump from one to the other. We normally only go about 20 mph, so it isn't really dangerous. I haven't seen any situation "YET" that looks dangerous with this thing at the speeds we are going... but do operate with caution. Do make sure you have it connected correctly ... the tow strap goes thru a strong holding strap underneath and then connects to the rope. This makes the front pull "up" and out of the water. We did it once without being thru the loop underneath and it ripped the outer cover and buried the front end (dumping the riders in the water) . Had it sewn back by a local upholstery shop and were good to go. Very heavy ... 50 + lbs (I think) so it is a bit of an effort to get it out of the boat box! But worth it! ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Inner Tube
Style: 1-3 Rider
We have used this tube 3 times and we noticed every time we pump it up, the inner tube fills in weird ways. Such as a huge lump fills on one side and the other side has barely any air, looks like the inner stitching for where the handle bars fill and the base fills is not made right, or not sealed properly not letting us fill it full. For almost $400 I was hoping this tube would last a few years not just a couple rides with 2 little girls. ... show more
