Description

Dramatically increase the amount of heat coming from your fireplace. Long lasting, heavy-gauge steel tubes heat air to over 400 degrees; pushing up to 35,000 BTU's of heat into the room. The Spitfire Heart Heater has a smaller profile that allows it to fit into smaller fireplaces. Dual speed blower connects to the grate with flexible tubing to allow for blower positioning. Great way maximize heat efficieny
This item works very well, however, it does need to have a bit longer legs. I placed mine on firebrick. Much cheaper than an insert.

Good buy
Raises my house temp between 4 to 5 degrees... Should lower my energy bill foresure. Gave 4 stars for 2 reasons, I think it may be a little over priced and it sits to low, had to buy fire bricks so I could clean out easily.

Pros and cons may balance...
I have had the unit for over a month. And yes there is a rise in efficiency from the fireplace, in our case about 3 degrees. There was some drawbacks.... 1. Smell of smoke was noticeable, careful observation shows how smoke is drafted and pushed out resulting in that smell, after some experimentation, longer tube can solve that issue, looks not withstanding. 2. It does not blend in the decor, it can be an eye sore. 3. The flexible tubing provided should be long, this could help with decor. 4. Keeping too close to the ground it does blow ash into the space. All in all it works but understand the cons. Your experience may differ. ... show more

No. Did not heat the room. Just moved smoke all throughout the house.

It makes the fireplace much more efficient.
I was very satisfied with the heater. It puts out more heat and the blower is quiet. It is very easy to assemble.

Great for a firelight or tiny fireplace

The base is smaller than pictured. The heat tubes could be a few inches longer to reduce blowing fireplace smoke into the room and the base could be a few inches taller. If you have a very small fire, or use smokeless fire logs, this thing will b gr8.
