This case is heavy duty. It does add a bit of bulk and weight to the phone, but it is very well built. The stand is not flimsy and moves and locks into position without issues. For people complaining about it not having the option to be set at an angle - because it is not centered on the back, you can simply rotate the device 180ยฐ to get a shallower or steeper viewing angle. The keys are easy to locate and press, especially the Power key. Buttons work normally. The lip around the screen adds a bit of protection to the device if it gets placed in the screen-down position, so it will not get scratched. Now, the case does seem a bit tight for the phone, even when the back plastic piece is removed. It is flexible, though so removing the phone shouldn't be troublesome or cause damage to the outter bezel of the phone. The grip is OK, it takes a bit to learn how tight you should get a hold of the phone when lifting it ir holding it, but it is not terribly slippery, it is easy to hold. All in all, as a previous owner of the Spigen's Tough Armor case for my Galaxy S5, which survived several falls with no damage to the phone, I am equally satisfied with this one. This is a great overall case. It feels sturdy with out bulk and looks sleek with the back design that gives it the feel of the plastic backing of the s21. Though it would have been nice to maybe see some grip elements worked into the design on the back to offer a little more traction. Gripping from the sides feels fine even though the same material is there outside of the power and volume. I also wish they had the blue color from the s20 line up available at launch so hopefully it could be a potential future purchase. My personal preference is that the corners need to look a little bumpier. And the volume and power buttons could use a little more tactile feel as only the power button has ridges. So you have to go more by muscle memory rather then feeling a raised bump at those locations. Also with the design of the volume up and down you can hit both at the same time if you hit in the middle of the two. A problem that wouldn't exist with a raised portion to hone on on center. But it looks and feels fine and those are more minor things. It is likely the same as past brand/cases but this one is new for me this time around. It does look like it will fit any screen protector just fine though it does feel a little hard to get the case on the phone. But that might be just due to it being stiff from being brand new since it has become a little more flexible the more I take the phone out. But despite that it does feel snug. I have only used built in protectors or film on my phones but I doubt it would be an issue for tempered glass since Spigen does sell their own glass protectors. The camera cutout in the back feels like it is designed to handle a screen protector just fine as you see a small gap. If you don't use one it could be a source of dust and debries. The kickstand is a little flimsy but is the standard design you see on a lot of cases. It only works in portrait mode which is a bit of a bummer. It feels like a port cover would make the case feel "better" and complete the tough look more. But I personally like those design elements where I know some won't. I won't ding the case for this since most seem to ignore it but it would be nice if there were small holes on a corner/side for a rope, lanyard, or something else to provide a little bit of a safety grip at times. I have rarely used it but as I've grown older and more aware of costs I could see how it could be useful on the boat or when sight seeing around cliffs/drops. But that is what phone insurance and cloud backups are for right? ... show more

I've tried a few S21 cases and they're all junk. This one is solid and fully protects the phone. It will not warp, stretch, or discolor. I should have bought this brand to begin with since they also made the case for my S8 and that thing was awesome too.

I have had this case for almost a year and it's proved good for many drops, however the sweat has proved to be the thing it cannot protect against. When the phone is in my pocket in the heat it is deteriorating the back of the case. It has made the actual finish of the case start to wear out in 3 different places. I am very gentle with my phone so this is concerning to me that naturally occurring sweat is making the case break down in less than a years time. Overall a superior case for drops and an overall great design....just fix the finish of the paint to protect against sweat please. ... show more

    • Not a terrible case, but also not a great case...

So I rocked this Spigen case for just shy of a year. I loved the kick stand, liked the placement of the power button (you could never miss it) and over all didn't have any major issues with the case. Well... that is until time took it's toll! So just recently I replaced the case. The main reason was the power button was not fully moving out of the way of the power button, making the phone power up randomly and even activate Bixby. I can't fault it, the design and thousands of times of hitting the power button sure did set a "memory" into the plastic that caused this issue. Additionally the "soft touch" of the case started wearing off and became an eye sore. So, I traded up and got the tried and true Otterbox Commuter case. I'm sad as I left the stand behind, but I'll move forward as I know the Otterbox is over all a "tougher" case. If you want to get this case, go for it, but know you'll probably be replacing it in 9 mo. ... show more
