The matte black TPU material has a smooth, yet grippy texture to it, and it "blends in" with my iPhone X quite well. I feel like there could've been room for more storage, as the recommended carrying capacity of the case is at two cards maximum, however there are no visible protrusions on the back of this case, unlike most other traditional wallet cases. The case is only rated for a "military rating" of four feet, and I've had cheaper cases from Tech21 and Speck with significantly higher drop ratings of 8-12 feet, for a cheaper price, but I recently got a learner's driving permit and needed a secure place to store my ID card, which led me to purchasing this case. There is a (very slight) raised edge on the screen side of the case, giving added protection for phones without screen protectors; however I highly recommend using a screen protector with this case, there is still a high chance of having an uneven surface damage your screen. I have a screen protector installed on my iPhone X, and the case fits just fine, and is easy to remove even with the screen protector on. I don't know if the case is Qi wireless charging compatible, as some reviews are mentioning that having more than one card inside the storage compartment will hinder your ability to wirelessly charge, however this is also subject to the coil strength on your personal wireless charger. The buttons are super clicky and despite being made of TPU plastic, retain the tactile feel of the power button, however the volume up/down buttons require a bit more pressure to activate. Alongside the buttons, the cutouts on for the speaker, microphone array, cameras, as well as the silent switch are very precise and tight fitting; and while I don't use a third party lightning cable for charging, the cutout is big enough to accommodate most, if not, all third party cable types. My only "complaints" with this case are with the plastic wallet cover, which mainly held on by pressure and slight indents for the corners, and I suspect that the plastic casing will separate in the event of a hard drop. On the topic of drops, the case is advertised as being rated for a four feet "military drop test rating" and for the price, I can find much cheaper cases from reputable brands that offer a drop test rating of 8-12 feet; however those cases lack a wallet, or the slim design of the Spigen Slim Armor CS. I also noticed slight scratches near the edge of the colored plastic backing, only after a few weeks of usage, and I question the long-term durability of the plastic material. Overall, its a really good looking case (in my opinion), and it serves its purpose well, however you better choose wisely between your top two cards that you get to carry on the back of this case, and hope for the best in the event of a drop where your phone falls more than four feet. ... show more

I prefer the slim armor due to it not being bulky but still having significant protection for my phone. I've dropped it multiple times and never am worried besides possibly the screen cracking. This case has served me well. I’ve used it for over a year to always conveniently have my license and debit card with me, when I have my phone. It is reassuring that when I grab my phone and keys, I have all that I need to run my errands. You could slip a third, thin card (think health insurance ID) or one folded dollar bill in the case - although the fit is tight. I wouldn’t do and don’t do that regularly. The buttons function solidly and well. The case is not easy to get on and off but I don’t want it to be. I can cordlessly charge the phone (it doesn’t always works through the case though) but wonder if that would ruin the magnetic strips on the debit cards, I don’t know. While I wish I had had more color choices than the rose gold and mint, the rose gold I ordered is pretty. I can easily fit this in my Jean back pocket, and can snugly get it into smaller front Jean pockets. I highly recommend this product. ... show more
