    • A Powerful Light with a Heatly Drawback

The Spider Farmer SF1000D 2Pack has significantly boosted my indoor garden's performance. My plants have thrived under these lights, receiving more compliments than ever before. After previous disappointments with other brands, I am happy to have found a reliable and effective solution. However, a major drawback is the substantial heat output. This necessitates additional cooling measures, such as running an indoor AC unit specifically for the grow room. While the lights themselves are energy-efficient, the added cooling costs can offset some of the savings. Once funds allow, I am eager to upgrade to Spider Farmer's higher-end models, which promise lower heat emission. I will be sure to share a follow-up review once I am able to make the switch. Overall, the SF1000D 2Pack is a powerful light that can deliver impressive results. But potential buyers should be aware of the heat issue and plan accordingly. Some of the pros include: Significant improvement in plant growth and quality, Reliable and effective performance. I purchased two of these lights to add to my growing space which has filled up with seedlings, getting ready for the season. I have a combination of grow lights that I've acquired over several years, along with some 4ft LED "shop" lights that I support in groups of 4. While adjusting the lights today, the bottom side of the Spider light accidentely touched the top of one of the shop lights. HUGE spark, dead Spider light. Turns out the enitre circuitry on the plant-facing LED side of the light is completely exposed, making this a somewhat hazardous piece of equipment to use in a space where you're apt to be shuffling things around, squirting water, etc. A $.10 plastic base/cover would make this a much safer and better piece of equipment. ... show more

    • Absolutely worth it! (Long review)

Had two other grow lights in my grow tent and they worked fine but I placed this bad boy in and my plants doubled in height. For a while I kept the other two on the sides but a friend of mine recently got into growing so I gave up one. Then I noticed something pretty crazy to me. My plant started growing towards this light taller than the other half where the other light sat. I am working in a 2x4 Vivosun tent and plan on getting bigger and knew coming in that one light wouldn’t suffice for my tent size so no complaints there. I do plan on getting more and eventually I would like to get a spider farmer bar light that would cover the entire tent but that’s for another day and review. Overall know what coverage you need and get the right Spider Farmer light for you, even if it means saving for it little by little, and you are going to be happy with what you spent that hard earned cash on. ... show more
