** update: Added two new photos that show this light is full spectrum and support flowering (orchid) and fruiting (strawberries). I have been rehabbing orchid plants, and use this light since my home has poor natural lighting. The orchids pictured have rebounded and are very healthy now! This light has helped provide the majority of the full light spectrum my indoor plants need. I bought it mainly for the strawberry plants I rescued from my backyard and so far it has really helped with new growth. I plan to keep all my strawberry plants indoors now. Excited to see how it fairs in providing for flowering and fruiting some time down the road. It’s very bright (actually makes nice lighting for nearby selfies as well 😜), no dimmer, but that doesn’t bother me. I set it up with an automatic timer. It puts out a fair amount of warmth, but it isn’t hot. The little plants/ seedlings directly under aren’t getting burnt so that’s good. The unit is much smaller than I anticipated for “3x3”. I expected it to measure up that big but turns out that it’s more the coverage it provides. Might buy another one to help supplement more light for my potted plants that will need to come indoors when it freezes. ... show more

The Spider Farmer SF1000D 2Pack has significantly boosted my indoor garden's performance. My plants have thrived under these lights, receiving more compliments than ever before. After previous disappointments with other brands, I am happy to have found a reliable and effective solution. However, a major drawback is the substantial heat output. This necessitates additional cooling measures, such as running an indoor AC unit specifically for the grow room. While the lights themselves are energy-efficient, the added cooling costs can offset some of the savings. Once funds allow, I am eager to upgrade to Spider Farmer's higher-end models, which promise lower heat emission. I will be sure to share a follow-up review once I am able to make the switch. Overall, the SF1000D 2Pack is a powerful light that can deliver impressive results. But potential buyers should be aware of the heat issue and plan accordingly. For a cheap light, you can’t get any better. I used it for about 3 grows along with three other lights in the same price range. They’re all of different brands. The Spider Farmer definitely outperforms my others in terms of output, final yield and trichome production. I’ve tried numerous grow lights over the years and never had a huge preference in manufacturer until now. I upgraded to 2 SE5000’s for my next grow. I’ve also upgraded my entire setup to Spider Farmer components. This light will be used for seeds until they’re ready for the bigger light now. You can pack several of these into a tent for super cheap!! I only have one big problem with them. They run hot because the driver is mounted to the light panel. I would happily pay an extra $10 if it had a remote driver so they could be mounted outside the tent. Modifying them would void the warranty, but I recommend doing it!! It's pretty shocking the difference in temperature remote drivers can make. These are still my favorite entry level LED on the market. Hopefully they upgrade to the new LM301H diodes soon. These are still the most efficient lights available, though. All 4 I've bought so far draw around 105w each and output ~1200ppfd at 10" If you the price comes to over $70 at checkout it's best to wait. That's about the cheapest I've seen them so far and they hit that point about once a month. It's really not worth it to pay more unless you have to have it immediately. ... show more

Worst customer service on the planet originally purchased two lights October 20th 2024 used for less than 6 months total and had one fail I requested warranty coverage on March 29th 2026 because the product description says 5 years warranty repair through a designated provider. The representative repeatedly denied the existence of this warranty for nearly a month of back and forth emails. They finally offered a replacement for the cost of a competitor's light.
