Sure, long shank BUT
While this long shank might get you a deeper cut in some places, the 1/8 cutting portion is only 1 inch long, widens right out. So don't expect to get deep into corners/along sides because you've only got a 1 inch cut depth before the shank hits the upper wall of the material, prevents you from going deeper on the edge. ... show more

No problems, made to last
I dont know what these reviews are about having issues with this bit. I've been using them cutting intricate dovetails on cnc with both vertical and horizontal orientation on my cnc through 4/4 milled exotic hardwood. I obviously need this size bit to handle that. Now I go slow and take about 8 to 10 passes over that stock, but it works wonderfully. I'm on my 3rd bit, because I'd say I average about 4 dovetail boxes a week, over 6 months. My first bit is rough, but hasn't broke, and I still use it for roughing or test pieces cuts, and my newest one for the higher exotic exotics. So it cant be that I got lucky with a good lot of bits since I've ordered more over time. Only thing that makes sense to me and from what I see from other reviews is they dont understand feeds, speeds, and depth per cut. Simple if you understand tha you wont have problems ... show more

I'm an experienced woodworker, this bit is not worth the price. In fact the price implies that it is US or European made as the Amazon profile does not disclose it is China made. It broke within the first minute of use. I'm sending it back for a refund. Amazon- disclose the country of origin on all products, quit playing games. ... show more

Quality bits for a 1/4 the price
I own quite a few of high end bits. From different companies who reach out to Instagram influencers. I bought these in a whim to get me through a project. I was amazed and how well they cut for 1/4 the price of my expensive bits that cut like crap. I highly recommend these bits and will keep buying them to run in my cnc ... show more

Easily sliced through 3/4 plywood!

I needed to cut a square for a flip top designed tool bench. It was important that I had not only had the square perfect, but that the outline also had to be square so when I flip everything it fits nicely with a 1/8" gap. I used a regular plunge router with this bit (and a jig) and got my cuts in 3 passes moving it slowly. It never bound up or left burn marks. I made 8 cuts similar to the one pictured. ... show more

Not Reliable
After three uses this bit broke in half. I was using it on a routine cut and it broke in half. I am not satisfied with this bit

The extra length allows you to use 1/2" MDF for templates and allows you to get deeper inlays.
I'm glad I went with the extra-long bit. The bit that comes with the inlay kit works well but limits you to 1/4" temples and limits your inlay depth. The longer bit allows you to use 1/2 thick templates and still cut a 1/4" deep inlay. 1/4" template allows you to get 3/4" inlays.
