    • Much Quieter Than I Expected It To Be
After living through a couple of hurricanes and dealing with no power for hours or days I knew I needed one of these for our emergency kit. I have 3 kids and living without power long term is really rough. Straight out of the box it is heavy but the handle is nice and sturdy and I didn't feel like I was going to drop it at any point when I was moving it around. The instruction manual was easy enough to understand and filling it up with oil and gas was straight forward. I will be the first to admit I am a bit on the weaker side and it did take 3 pulls to get it started the first time but only one pull each time I started it up after that. The generator is quieter than I thought it would be and I showed it to my neighbor who also has one and they mentioned it was much quieter than theirs as well. Since we are not currently without power I tried plugging in something to all the outlets and they were all functional. I also tried running several things at the same time and the generator worked great the whole time. Overall it worked exactly as I expected and was easy to set up. My first impression of this generator is excellent. I unboxed it, filled it with oil and fuel and it started up the first time on the second pull. It was quieter than I thought it would be and It ran smooth. I tested the outlets with a shop vac and it all worked well. It feels well made. One thing - it has a dipstick like a normal oil fill, but you actually fill it to the top, and not read the dipstick. It takes just under 1/2 quart. It took me a bit to figure that out.
